  1. Bounce, I think you can buy a DVD "tactical shotgun" course from Amazon, just to get a feel for what they teach. I've got a DVD tactical shotgun course here somewhere, but I don't think it's frontsite. (Gunsite maybe?). Lots of door breaching and stuff for LEO's. Something I noticed with those courses....they work very well for LEO-types, but by watching what they do on the DVD, the average home defender is probably better off by spending the money on ammo and carefully considering how to deal with uninvited threats around your actual property. (putting decorative mirrors to reflect b
  2. 1911, I don't want to sound like I'm disagreeing with you, but gold is a COMMODITY. And it's value is ANYTHING but fixed! When you buy gold, YOU ARE TRADING COMMODITIES. The commodity market (and stock and bond) markets are not "rigged." The are, however, traded professionally, by professional traders and people who know what they're doing, and their BUSINESS is trying to take money from other traders. (i.e. you) As a novice buyer/trader of gold (or silver or diamonds, etc. etc.) what do you think your chances are of making a profit? Remember: we are depending on THE GREATER FOOL THE
  3. As I've been reading this thread, I can feel my tension rising and almost want to jump out of the chair and run down to Walmart to grab all the ammo I can. Unfortunately, I already stocked up on all calibers of ammo and I'm STILL nervous! ...lol... But contrary to reported "shortages", I was down at Walmart a couple of days ago, and there was PLENTY of 12 gauge ammo and a whole rack of guns, with SEVERAL 870's to choose from...the lowest at $277.00. (which ain't bad from Wally!) Also, I've been trading stocks and commodities for a couple of decades, and I STRONGLY suggest that you th
  4. I had a buddy over last night and we knocked back a few while laughing at his proposal to create an arbitrage spread trade "going short" on the price of Pmags and long on shares of Citigroup. Woke up with the worst headache of this century. (so far) I'm not sure why it all seemed so funny last night, but my buddy (retired futures trader, currenty employed in the injection molding business) sure hopes BO "does something" on the weapons ban, and I'm not so sure he's alone. Guns are one of the few business that (if you'll excuse the pun) are booming for the foreseeable future.
  5. Ha that's funny, carry on... Obama fanboy? Here? Well shut my mouf.....
  6. ahh crap....and I bought 2 of these things, thinking that I only had a few days/weeks to buy "hi-cap" mags. I usually NEVER buy stuff when everyone else is trying to get it, but this Obama character has already cost me 1/2 of my retirement (the stock market sold off because Obama plans to raise capital gains taxes) , and made me pay through the nose for everything gun-related since his election. And he hasn't even taken OFFICE yet!
  7. Best part is.... the ObamaBan probably won't cover it. Just sell it as a "projectile powered bicycle". If you can't sell 'em, maybe you're eligible for a "Saiga bailout".

    AGP Mags

Just a quick note of thanks to Kevin, the owner (I think) of AGP. A couple of elections ago, I bought 3 AGP "Gen 1" Saiga 12 mags, even though I didn't have the shotgun yet. I just recently acquired the shotgun, but when I tried the new (old) mags, they didn't seat without filing, so I called and asked what to do. John and Kevin (the employee, not the owner) were very kind and great customer service emmisaries for their product and business. Long story short, I sent back the "old" mags, even though it had been a YEAR or so, and got a free replacement of "Gen 2" mags in the mail. Ther
