Have you tried 3in magnums yet? I have not tried 3" mags in them....but every type of 2 3/4 ammo out there!! they have been fine now all broken in.....I shoot 1 to 2 times a week at least a 100 rnds a week....very pleased.

Even with out the gas piston I'm at 9 non us parts....piston will make it 8.

US parts, stock,pistol grip, fore stock w/vertical 5 pos. grip, U.S.A poly choke,U.S mags, I have a new gas switch coming and..piston.

I have no issues with the stock...seems tough enough!! took minutes to install!! I really like ajustability of the stock.

My 10 round promags have been fine...after a little fitting and lube they are nice and smooth...no gritty spots....high brass do not stick.I just put 100 rounds of slugs and buck shot mix through mine this week alone!!

I have 2 new PROMAG'S they work great now!!! took a little breaking in.. now they perform with out as much as a Hick-up!! One of mine does hold open the bolt after last round at times....if this does not cause issues?? I would like that on the mags...lets you see your empty.

I have had more issues with Winchester ammo in all types of guns!! I have had lots of issues with the rim size...too big at times.. lots of jams getting stuck in mags....I have had thses issues in my ..Marlin "GOOSE GUN" Bolt with detach. box mags + 120 PUMP...My two... Mossie 500's ...my WIN "Defender" pump.... my 1100 ect.But most of the issues were with steel shot duck loads. stick with the FED'S OR REM'S in thew value packs!!

I have the Poly Choke II.. w/19" w/#4 lead shot on the full setting I got a patten that was the same...alittle more uniform.... as my buddies 28" Moss. 500 w/ MOD choke....at 25 yards....I would say pattern your gun...see what load it likes and go for it!! I hunted ducks+geese for years...with many different bbl's chokes...the short bbls did better than most would make you think at times

I did take a little off the mag at the back...narrowed the part that locks in the mag latch....I also filed a tiny bit off the side of the mag in the back...they pop right in now nice and tight!!! Sunday I'm hitting the range...I got 250 slugs today at walmart...the 15 round value packs!! $8.47 each. Getting ammo is getting tough!! everyones buying up everything! (like me!! lol) I got a 1,000 rounds of 40 S&W today price was ok $300 for the case.

Last I heard AJAX had them for $29.00....but were out of stock!! I paid $49 for mine...I found out about the AJAX too late...over all I am very happy with the mags.

Ok, I have given these mags a good work out... over 100 rounds assorted ammo... The first mag I tried I just washed out with W.D-40....let it rip with FED. 2 3/4 BUCK....no issues...This same MAG I took to the range I fired "K.O" BREN.'S out of it 2 full clips....ate them up.. GREAT!! This same mag...FED high brass 2 3/4 slugs no problem....then a mixed load... FED,WIN,REM+K.O'S...the WIN. load seemed a little tighter on the mag walls....BUT..still no issues!!! Now on to mag 2....took it right from the bag after fitting NO WD-40 on this one! Filled it with BREN. K.O'S....5 ROUNDS FIRED...#6

The shell's are cheap low-brass called "RIO" trap/target load...I can't wait till my drum comes!!

All U.S.A parts...TAPCO stock and pistol grip,I then added the tri-rail fore arm, 5-position fore grip w/storage and pressure switch pads, Last night added the Poly choke, two 10round Pro Mags, More to come soon

I just got my first Saiga 12 a month ago...less than a month....I am having a blast!! its like being a kid and its X-MAS every day...as I look through the forum at every ones mod's and the toys I can add next!!! great fun..its killed the "cabin fever" we get here in the N-East due to the snow/cold/short days!!! can"t wait to see your gun take its new form!!! have fun!! this forum is great!! all the members give you all the help you could wish for!!
