Been researching a bit and noticed something I need a concrete answer on. The Saiga in question has the bump on the reciever just as the Vepr's do. Most Saiga .308s I am seeing are all smooth sided guns. Can anyone explain this? Is it this way because of the year of manufacture? Anyone with knowledge of what year they went to the smooth side in the 308s.

Asking 799. I told them 500. They said that is what they had in it and couldn't go that low so I walked. Gun is in great condition as far as finish. Considering its 15 years old it looked good. I just couldn't buy without knowing about it. Anyone have any opinion on year 2000 guns? I am only knowledgable about 2008+. Ed your link is for .223/5.56 not .308 Did you find .308 at Cabelas?

Found a .308 Saiga at a local pawn shop. Says 2000 on the side so I'm guessing a year 200 model. It is in very good condition with minimal wear o the rails. Looks like the only mods are tapco furniture. I really can't find the going price for one this old and don't know anything about the early models. Hoping you guys can help me out. Thanks

Yes it is a little much for the rifle. Looking for something smaller.

16" Vepr 7.62x39 6-18x50 rifle scope Will that be too much scope for this thing. Mainly target shooting with store bought ammo. Maybe some coyote hunting and maybe maybe a whitetail in the future. Don't know how I should feel about taking it out to 200 yards.

No tags in Bama. Many guys I work with hunt on their own land here and prep their own kills. Also manage their land very effectively. Several areas of the state do not have cell coverage and many older men do not use the internets. I personally know many "rednecks" who will not comply if this goes into effect. I also wonder if people who are involved in deer accidents o. the roadways will be required to report the occurrence.

Opps, sorry havent checked in on the forum lately. Work and all that. The two springs worked. I did not recieve anything except wood and screws with my set so it baffled me as to what I needed to do. The top piece looks to be routed for the springs I put in. Fits very tight now and I'm pleased with it. The wife is also happy the purple furniture isnt on it anymore. I kept telling her it is called plum. She just doesn't understand!

Just purchased a Ruger LC9 at a local business that had them on sale for $310. I considered it a decent price for a CCW after reading a few quick reviews on a google search. After taking it home and doing an initial cleaning I decided to delve deeper and found a review with comments on a popular "firearm blog". Some say it malfunctions while others have no problems whatsoever. Could be ammunition choices but many blame Ruger for bad QC. I have yet to shoot it so I have no idea what I have. It does seem the manufacturer is resolving some of the problems which looked to be on guns built ea

Sorry, no pics. It is loose as in side to side. It will rock back and forth till it is stopped by the bottom piece. Front to back fit is good. It is an Arsenal gun and the stock plastic top piece fit very tight, required the use of channel locks to remove.

Just got my Timbersmith Russian Red set in today. The top forearm piece is very loose in the rifle. I was thinking about using some aluminum foil packed into the cavity in order to stiffen the fit. Have any of you ever run into this problem before? Also, the pieces do not have heat shields. Anyone ever remedied this?

I found ammo at a local store in Huntsville, Alabama yesterday. 1000 rounds Tulammo 124 gr HP. Got it for 250 out the door, was like 231 plus tax. Pretty good deal considering the prices I am seeing on these posted links.

I don't plan on buying much from them. Like stated, I was definitely more informed than they were. I even asked them of they had looked into galleryofguns/gungenie. They had never heard of it. I will give them my business once their range is finished and open. But only use of the range and unfortunately the purchase of their ammo per the rules. I was promised good prices on said ammo once the range got going. Details of the range are 30 yard lanes, bullet proof glass separators, automatic target retrieval/deployment, high powered rifles welcome except for .50, outside steel entry doo

Went by a new gun shop that opened about 25 days ago a few miles from where I live. Gun prices weren't necessarily awful on handguns but the black guns were steep. In my conversation with them I brought up the S12 and was told they were looking into it but apprehensive because of the possibly of a ban. I told them I haven't heard the B word in several months but whatever. Also told me they had 37 orders for the Keltec KSG. (Selling at $850). They definitely acted like it was the most superior shotgun ever without even having one in house. Also, building a 16 lane indoor range. It will be

I never see it at my local walmart. Every redneck in these parts carries his SKS around in his pickup and are probably the ones buying it up. (When I typed "SKS", my autocomplete wanted to insert "sis".)
