I have a question why would take apart a Saiga rifle to build a Romy kit when 80% or 100% receivers are out there? Bob G

Take an Economics 101 class and then ask that question again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not all economics. The main thing with the AR and M16 is IT IS US MADE!!!! Made in the in the good old U.S. of A. Even the H&K brand would be US made because of factories here. For now they have some control on imported guns unlike imported steel and cars that has done alot more damage to our country's economy. Do we even make our own steel any more? We use imported steel in our cars!!!! BOB G

The ATF wants to stop non sporting imported arms to many Saigas are being turned into non sporting arms that is what they to stop. How long has some importer been trying to get an import licence and no one is being approved. That is why no on is being approved. They will be imported again when they are made so they can not be converted into non sporting guns. The only thing this ban is going to do is drive the prices up on AK based guns. All the parts kits are drying up. CETME, G3 and FAL parts are just about all gone. The only AK parts out there now are the Romanian. Enjoy these guns while we

With this new import ban that the ATF in putting in Sept I wouldn't look for any new Saiga importers for a long time. Bob G

I have been busy so I couldn't respond. There are some threads out there on this site but but I think were they are right now I even had a video of the mag in my rifle. BOB G

I modified M14 mags to work in S308 all mods done the to mag none done to the rifle. They worked good but good M14 mags cost $25-$40 each. I got tired of paying that kind of money for M14 mags so I did mods on my S308 so I could use the cheap $2 G3 mags that are out there. This is what my S308 looks like after the mods. It works alot better now and I am loving the $2 mags. BOB G

I also have a FA91 it is a well made rifle made with all H&K parts with matching serial #'s on the carrier and bolt. I like the fact that you will not crush the receiver with a scope mount if you want to use a scope. I like it is better made than my S308. Another nice thing is I can get real H&K mags for $1.99. Witch ever one you buy you need to do soon the price on all import asault type rifles will go up soon!!!!! Bob

I have owned both brands I like the 870 better there are more repair parts out there and up grades. They also have a steel receiver. Has anyone had any sucsess converting any other mags to work in the Saiga 12? I saw a thread once on using G3 mags but I can't find it and I would like to know if they got them to work. I converted M14 mags for my S308 that worked 98% of the time. BOB G

Would the donation would be put in the name of the person that bought the shirt or in the seller of the shirts name? It is a good thing to donate money, wouldn't also be better to donate 100% of the profits from the sale of the shirts or this a buiness venture also?

I don't think ar15.com should get any of the proceeds they have major manufactures as sponsers like ArmaLite, Bushmaster, trijicon and all the other places that advertise on their site. How many major sponsers dose Saiga-12 have? BOB G
