I would look for one of these for my Cabin if they end up being reliable, If I could have it feed from one tube with 00 buck and the other with slugs then it would be an awesome home defense gun.
  2. I have the older poly choke II with the original muzzle brake, the edges on the brake are sharp enough to cut you hand when adjusting...other than that great product, I use it when I shoot clays, I originaly bought it incase I want to go turkey hunting.
  3. Will, I just saw your show for the first time over the weekend, Great show, good stuff, I love to see the exposure that you are getting the s-12 platform!!! Keep it up!
  4. I prefer Oak Express for my oak furniture that is where i got my table and ... Oh, I get it my Saiga...Sorry I just had to poke fun cause of the title of the thread. Anyways, I use all plastic stuffs, all of my other guns are heavy enough without wood so is this one. If I had a typical AK and it was just one of many AK's I would consider traditional wood furniture.
  5. LOL yeah, +1 I could not have done it without your parts and the retailer Mississippi auto arms. Kudos to you guys
  6. Well the feel of the gun is right on par with my other pistol grips, my mini-14 and my ptr-91, it feels like an assault weapon instead of a hunting weapon. The trigger pull is much better, I was amazed at the simplicity of the trigger group once the pistol grip was installed, simplicity = reliability in my book. I am next slated to go shooting on labor day weekend, I will submit a new thread on that day regarding the feel of it complared to the feel of it with the stock configuration that I tested last month.
  7. I started my gun collection about 3 years ago when I started my Law Enforcement training. I started off with a springfield XD45 and a WWII Japanese t-99 rifle that I found in my grandfathers crawlspace. Today I have quite a bit more firepower. I was talking to a fellow LEO and he showed me pictures of his Serbu super-shorty and his Saiga s-12. I looked into both for my first boom stick. The serbu would take a 5 dollar tax stamp and tons of work, however I was able to go on gunbroker and find a stock s-12 for a reasonable price! So I went with the s-12 and as of today it was converted to
  8. I got the parts!! and all installed now!!!
  9. good to know, the anticipation is building, i cant wait for fedex tomorrow.
  10. good to know, thanks
  11. Update, I striped the gun down, removed the trigger assembly and the trigger guard.
  12. Hello All, It has been some time since my last post. I went out and shot the stock s-12 and got it running great on setting 2 with remingont walmart special sport loads. And all I had to test setting 1 was some slugs, those 2 3/4 slugs and 3 inch slugs bring some serious punch in this gun. Needless to say the Saiga is working great. Now on to the parts. This is the parts list that is coming in on Thursday for me. 1 x AK Original Style Buttstock (BLACK) - TAPCO (STK06101BLACK) 2 x Saiga 12 Gauge 10 Round AGP Magazine 1 x Tromix Do-It-Yourself Saiga 12 Trigger Guard features

Just checked all three gas ports are clear! Now to find some time to shoot off some rounds. I am thinking about running some federal 00 buck through it.

I just received my stock saiga s-12 19inch shotty. What comes first. Should I send the gun out for pistol grip and trigger group move along with other work? Or should I do it myself? I have been trolling this forum for a while and now I would like to contribute!!
