A bench grinder came loose & took a 1"L x 1/2"W x 1/2"D chink of skin out of my knee. Went to ER, waited 2 hours then left, poured Hydrogen peroxide on it to help clean & stop the bleeding, swabbed clean with Iodine swabs then a pack & 1/2 of Steri-Strips later I was put back together & don't have a multi-thousand dollar ER debt.

Ouch! dang, Pauly, that sucks! Watch that grindmark for a few days. And for the record, superglue beats stitches, but it burns worse than anything.

It was so deep that it went through the layer of subcutaneous fat, otherwise superglue might have been an option.
As deep & as wide as it was superglue would not hold.
As it is, I had to hold it together with 3 steri-strips, then start at an end & pinch it the rest of the way together & "stitch" 1 at a time to get it closed up.
I missed 2 days of work because I couldn't bend my knee while sitting is the most annoying part.
