It would be great if you can tell us how much those 2 units weigh individually and the amount of modification required to fit.

Wow, I go away for a couple of month and this thread explodes. All i can say is someone please come up with an adapter i can buy at a reasonable cost. If MSA starts delivering then i say good to have you back but i wanna hear from several folks that they got their order fulfilled before i fork my money over. If renegadebuck has something to sell then hurry up cuz i've been waiting patiently to get your stuff together. Gee whiz, maybe i should just make my own damn adapter.
-
I've got the Primary Arms Gen 3, guess i should've got the Gen 1. Anyways i relegated that one for my 22lr and the TRS-25 is pretty decent.
-
Yes, definitely check out Primary Arms' stuff, good price on decent products. I have their Aimpoint M3 and Micro clone which i really like. I had to go with the TRS-25 on my Saiga 223 though because it will co-witness on an ultimak rail where the PA micro won't because of the laser housing is at 6 o'clock position.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but i bought an AR folding stock from ACE for mine. http://www.riflestocks.com/AKStampedNoMods.htm

Isn't it a federal felony under interstate commerce law to take payment and not deliver something for it? I almost bought a MSA adapter until i saw all the posts about people not getting the product nor their money back.

i took one of the picatinny rails from my MOE handguard and screwed it in to the receiver and stock saiga handguard. I then drilled a second hole where the other end of the rail was and bolted that in.
-
Yes, I edited it so that others would not misunderstand my question. Thanks for your input though.
-
Oh well, guess i'll wait. Thanks.

The question was are there any other AR mag adapters available so i can use AR magazines besides the adapters i mentioned already. I want to use regular AR mags.
-
Is that an AR mag adapter and if so where did you get it from? BTW: how much did the adapter weigh?
-
I've been trying to get an adapter to use AR mags on my Saiga. Would like one that i can easily remove so i can use my regular saiga adapter. Sort of afraid to get one from MSA and seems renegadebuck doesn't have any in stock.

I don't know what to tell ya, i like the way the afg feels close in better than a vertical grip. The weight seems to distribute better across my left arm the way the forearm is turned. I guess i'm strange like that. Check out how my red dot isn't low enough to co-lo with my irons like most other folks. To me, i can acquire targets faster when its up high like it is. I have a quick detach lever on it so guess i'll just deal with when the red dot goes out. Of course, i'm just a mall ninja so its not like i really know anything. I think the afg does look cool on it though.
-
Any further and it catches the finger when releasing the mag. Could probably find a method and get used to it but i put it a notch further up and it was perfect.

Got the AFG for my AR and liked it so much got another for the Saiga. Really makes a difference and comfortable to handle with stock folded.

SGM 308 bolt on muzzle brake now available $169.95
notofnow replied to gpqueen's topic in Saiga .308
As for me, i hope works out well for the folks that made the purchase. If it does then maybe they'll come out with a flash hider/compensator some time in the future. Hopefully it will be a little cheaper and won't weigh almost a pound. My s308 is already heavy enough. -
Anyone use their Saiga on a carbine course? I've read that most people take their ARs but was wondering if the Saiga could take it.
-
What weight is your S308? Where can I get the best price for one?
notofnow replied to Redwood's topic in Saiga .308
i have the 223 and the 308 both with 16 inch barrel and there is about a 1lb difference between the 2. Both have been converted to pistol grip. -
Purchased a Aimpoint clone of the T1 with a quick detach mount. I was thinking either get a scout mount which replaces the rear sight leaf and comes with its own rear sight and a weaver/picatinny rail or Go with an ultimak gas tube rail and mount the micro on that. If i go with the ultimak, i was thinking of replacing the front and rear iron sights with BIG Dot XS sights for back up. Never owned a micro red dot nor mounted anything so far forward on the gas tube.

Looking for an ar adapter for mine but as i understand it the guy from MSA is nowhere to be found. Are there any other sources that makes adapters besides MSA?
-
I've heard the bi-pod causes the POI of the s308 to change and make it less accurate. Is that true and what have been your experience?
-
From what I have read, a bullet guide needs to be installed on the Saiga to use military AK 223 mags plus depending on the mags, they also need to be slightly modified. Am i right or wrong on this? Can you still use the Saiga mags after installing the bullet guide?

XS Big Dots

is the rear sight wind adjustable? -
I got one too. The cheapest i could find on the net was for $339 and that was wihout the ffl or shipping fees. $319 was a deal and a half that i couldn't pass up. Maybe I'll see ya at SEG one day.
