HOW many types of mags do you have. i tested mine on different types. at first i did not do it enough. some mags clicked in and some did not allow the catch to sit against the body. also at first the mag catch was tight so it was hard to release the mag. you don't want any of that. if all your mags click in and release with ease and your factory mag fits snug and feeds, your good. my factory saiga mag is still the snuggest fitting mag. u want to file with a half circle file to allow for a crescent moon shape in you catch. it leaves the back side of the catch high enough to catch the tab while

Did you alter, change or add anything to your Promag's? Nope. Should I have? Did you put in the bullit guide with your ProMag's or did they work fine w/o? I didn't put in a bullet guide. I've since put 180 rounds through the rifle, and have on 2 occasions had an FTF on the last round of the mag, which is apparently a commonly reported phenomenon with the ProMag. How does Promags or Tapco magazines hold up? Are they worth the money?

100% this. I'm sure most will know what you meant, but for those who may not............you file the mag catch on the rifle, not the magwell opening. Just wanted to catch that, before some new person saw that, and went to town on his magwell, with a file, and then starts a thread titled: "I filed my magwell and now my mags just fall out when I try to insert them" Yeah, Thanks 22_shooter being da new kid on da block we almost got twisted but remembered other threads.
