  1. As long as you make sure it's all out of the gun before shooting. Stuff burns pretty good, would suck to have a pool of it somewhere and get a fireball out of somewhere unexpected.
  2. I know this isn't the right forum for it, but if you want a cheap and effective home defense gun for inexperienced shooters, my choice is a Kel-tec Sub2000 in 9mm. Before anyone starts laughing, there are a few models they make that don't have serious reliability issues, and this is one of them. I've got a S-12 for my side of the bed, but on the other side is a Sub2k with a 33rd mag of DPX and an Aimpoint. Long guns are nearly always better for new shooters, the sight radius and extra stability from the shoulder make up for a lot of weak wrists and poor alignment. 9mm out of a 16" barre
  3. If the effort at the lever could be made anything close to a standard AR, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
  4. Check this out, penetration of 00 buck in ballistic gel after one interior wall is about 17-18," which is about what you want in defense situations. Perhaps a little more if you consider that 12-18" is commonly recommended for pistol HP bullet performance, but note that after the wall, the pistol bullets actually penetrate farther. This is likely due to the HP cavity being filled with drywall material.
  5. http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot3.htm Buck has less penetration through drywall than 9mm and .45, if you're so worried about overpenetration that you won't use 00 buck, then you should probably sell your guns and buy a sword or something. Seriously, don't use lethal force unless you're faced with the threat of death or serious bodily harm, and then hit what you're aiming at. At least in WA, the first part clears you from any criminal liability.
  6. I think he meant yes, the 13 round stick mag is the largest available, because it is in fact the largest available. Also the only aftermarket mag available, which is a shame because I think it's too long to be really handy for close quarters use. 8-10 would be my choice if anyone made such a thing.
  7. +1 for the Chaos extended rail. I've got a Docter Optic on it, the rail has held it rock solid for firing slugs with no wander on point of impact. No effect on reliability, either.
  8. Watching this thread with great interest, just got an s20 and I need about half a dozen 10 rd mags. I love the idea of metal mags over plastic.
  9. It's been a while since this thread started, but I finally got the s20, and if a rail is produced, I would now definitely get one.
  10. Local SWAT team got one, they said it was the only semi they could find that would cycle breaching slugs.
  11. I like the extended rail. I've got a mini red dot on there now at the back, but I'm thinking of putting fold down irons on it and moving the optic forward. With irons, I want the longest sight radius possible, so the extended works better for me.
  12. I know you are asking about the Fiocchi, but just thought I'd add that Winchester reduced recoil buck does not cycle at all in my gun.
  13. I'm actually looking at a used S-20 at the local gun store. How much different would the rail be for the 20 from the 12? If there's not enough interest here for you to produce it, how hard would it be for the average person (capable of doing the trigger conversion with no trouble) to rig something up with your existing rail? I know a kludge job wouldn't be as good as a dedicated part, but if there's nothing else available... May be a few months early to be gauging interest for this, at any rate. True market size will become apparent from the sales of the high-cap mags just recently rel
  14. Well, I'd probably get one even though I'd have to buy an S-20 to put it on. However, as long as I've been lurking here it seems like there's hardly any traffic in the S-20 forum. I already have your extended rail for my 12, and I love it.
