  1. Thanks, I do enjoy it quite often. I do need a light or two on it to utilize the QD rail so its not just "on there," but im still learning. Newbie gun, lol. Have you had any trouble cycling cheap low brass? I went clay shooting last Tuesday with my bro and he brought the dreaded Winchester bulk pack, I had a few FTEs but just adjusted the gunfixers a slightbit and it worked fine. No FTEs with Fed Bulk Pack. Not one, ever. After all the mods anyway. CGW did warranty gas port enlargement work for me. Although, they said it should cycle fed bulk pack w/out gunfixers gp, but when I got it
  2. is it 5 o'clock yet?

  3. Thanks alot, the more info from experienced people the more I learn. I appreciate it!
  4. It won't matter, if the end of the barrel and block are flush but metal is showing, just keep it there and touch up the little metal spot with some paint. I use dental floss tied to the buttstock, notched into the rear sight, and then pulled to the tip of the front sight, then I eyeball it a few times, then take it to the range for a real sight in. I would recommend making sure that it is sighted in perfectly and then scratch a mark, take it home and then do the drilling. Yes, the drill bits will go through the block, and a little bit of the barrel making a groove, and that will make
  5. Flush with the end of the barrel. Don't measure by the neutered piece of junk you removed. The Mk1 Eyeball does a good job. Remember the front sight is both windage and elevation adjustable, so as long as you get it straight to the eye, it'll be fine. You'll be drilling some shallow divots in the barrel. Where did you get the FSB? Some of the cheap American made ones have that hole for whatever reason. Dinzag
  6. Thanks alot for taking the time to check this out. I need a lil bit of help. I took the FSB off have put on the new fsb w/24 threads on. Now im not sure how far to go down with the FSB. I have the end of it flush with the barrel but there is still metal showing from the old one. Heres a few pics: Do I need to go hammer it down to where the shiny metal is not showing or is flush with the tip of the barrel correct and I just need to apply some paint? Now does anyone know a good way to properly index the FSB so I know its centered? After I have it indexed ive read that im supposed t
  7. Not sure how to feel about this one. Just got the front sight & barrel shroud off and found threads. Thang is is I bought a 24x1.5 fsb. Not sure what I would have done if I found the threads first, but know now what I have to do next.

    1. paprotective

They sell an adaptor for 24-14 threads

I know. I've already received the 24x1.5 FSBs in the mail. If I wouldof seen the threads first I probably would have ordered an adapter cuz now I have to figure out how to index&sight it properly.

The tap is small and if you are not used to tapping, it can seem intimidating, but, as you found out, it can be done. Proud of you! You ought to be proud of yourself, now, tackle the world!

  15. Try to find a washer with the same thickness as th BHO and same hole size for the retaining pin. If the washer is too big, grind it down one way or another to where it's the same size as the outside of the retaining pin hole
  16. As far as worth goes, I cant really comment on that. I personally wouldn't purchase it. Id rather buy a stock one for $469 and convert it myself making it how I want. Its really easy to convert and gave me a great sence of accomplishment when I was done. There is plenty of tutorials on her about doing the conversion yourself. I have had no prior experience working on guns and just followed the tutorial and it was easy as pie. Some buy SGLs which are Prime choice if you've got the $. Personally I would sell what ever you have and get one online. You can get a stock one on the KVAR webside for a
  17. 1. Ive never gotten one. Maybe just for the Trigger Guard. Here is a link to an awesome tutorial: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=40886 This should be all one needs, Its all I used given a couple questions here and there. 2.Yes, if its a saiga 12 I would re-install it due to it makes it easier to load a mag when the bolts open. Some do work to their bolt to make a closed bolt mag load possible, but I dont recommend it if you dont have experience with Saigas. It depends on your trigger group. If you have the Tromix Modified G2, you should be able to reinstall with out any mo

  19. I've just been using the iron sights. Before I removed the top rail it was alil difficult to aim when sooting clays, but the top rail wasn't being used for anything so I took it off for the time being and the iron sights are fully available and unobstructed. Before removal, I could still use them, just had to look through the top rail.
  20. think ill install the bullet guide today while I wait for the gripnut.

  22. yeah, I thought it was a good idea at the time, for shooting slugs and stuff, but have come to find its not really practical. Ive since removed the top rail and Mako grip/bipod/light and just added a Angled Fore Grip. The Mako is currently not in use. perhaps on my m4 or something. I am trying to have something that doesnt look like anyone elses though.
  23. Results. Got my gun back from CGW. no go with original gas plug. put in the gunfixers and it works fine. Did some polishing and converted it, and it couldnt be better. not one fte. thanks to all for the advice. Any pics, or video? Yeah, Its alil belated but ill put up some picks and a video. Pics are easy, video im not quite sure how to put up yet. Give me a day or two to go shoot and Ill put it up. I really need to pay attention to my old posts. Im so used to haveing 115 people view it and only 2 comments. not the case on this post, thank you to all for the advice. +1 to all.
