  1. Anubis, I am having problems screwing the two halfs of the adapter together. I cant even get the threads to start on the correct side, even when not fit the halfs together. If I start the bolt on the opposite side of the insert (outside of adapter), it will start but only get about half a thread before it starts to bind, like it is the wrong thread count. Tried chasing the threads of one insert with oil and one of the bolts, thinking it may have some molding flash on the threads and the insert came loose. What to you think?
  2. What would that get? Just curious. Quantity discount if enough people are interested. I dont believe you have any idea if firebird would even consider this, before you start speaking to the forum about starting something like this, you should find out if FB would want to do this. I really doubt it, seeing they are working their hardest to meet the current demand.
  3. Number 1 on the list has been received, and it is a work of art. Getting ready for custom anodizing now.
  4. It was a while ago ,,,,,first on the list,,, but worth the wait I believe. I thought it was mailed last week but they wanted to make sure everything was perfect before sending the first one out. Talked to FB Friday and after going through the final check and having the feed ramp installed (jig needed to be re-adjusted to fit the "white" receiver), it is done and will be mailed monday, if it has not already left. Being so early on the list, they where kind enough to send the receiver in "white", so we can custom anodize it at our shop (I was told by FB to explain that only 2 are being released
  5. I should be getting my "special" order lower any day now. Waiting of the mail man as I write this. (#1 on "the List")
  6. Well that kinda sucks,,,,,within minutes of each other, I ordered 2 couplers from CSS and 2 - 10round surefire mags from Mississippi arms, after reading the description in this thread and on the CSS page saying I'd end up with 15 round mags. Couplers are sitting in the gun shop and the mags are getting here Friday. Guess I need to order 12 rounder's now (if i can find them) and sell the 10's to somebody else,,,,,,
  7. I have an AR BAD on one of my MKA, not difficult to make fit,,,just bend it a little.
  8. They have been busy with Shot Show.
  9. I already have,,,,many times. These are two of my guns using Jim's MBC
  10. Nice!!! Like oval holes in the hand guard too.
  11. Yes, it holds the top round in the coupled mag as I move through a stage. It is also from FB.
  12. Jim does it again,,,,,,,,awesome!!! From that I was told, it will be available in the near future ,,,,,,,I'm on the list.
  13. Sorry for the slow response, I am at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this week and havent had much time to check this forum. The hand guard I have is one of earliest ones FB made,,,,,whatever Jim made first, is the one I have. I know that doesnt really answer your question, but that is all I know. The gun in the photos is one on the very first ones after the change to the standard rail and no "gems".

    RECOIL!!!!

go on firebird's website or search for firebird MKA 1919 Actually Jim posted that mid brakes won't work on Enos and that is where I got my information. Jim the owner of Firebird. Pat You must have read it wrong,,,,,,Jim puts MBBs on most of his race guns. I have one on the MKA that I built and it work great.
  15. Sorry, I don't remember what the cost was. I bought everything straight from Jim & Nanci but you might check with Centerfire, as they sell some FB parts (but that's just a guess).
  16. No factory 10 round mags at Center Fire website at 1:35 p.m. CDT. Call them
  17. Comes with the top rail, I purchased the bottom rail as an extra. The bottom rail is the same as the top, which can also be used on the side.
  18. I was told the factory 10 round mags will be available at Center Fire on Monday for $79.99.
  19. That is not what I said. Where it is positioned on my gun is where it needs to be to take advantage of this gas system. If you can't justify the cost, buy something else. I have no problem with the cost, knowing I am getting the best parts available and knowing that Jim will stand behind everything he does. Coming from custom fab shop, I understand the cost involved with bring new parts to the market, and considering the design and quality, the prices do not seem "insulting" in the least.
  20. The lower rail is from FB also, it is the same as the top rail and will also fit the side opposite the charging handle. The mid barrel comp is great at reducing recoil in higher power ammo, you will not feel much difference using low recoil ammo but the more powerful the ammo, the more the mid barrel comp helps reduce the recoil. As for reliability, I have had no problems with it, from what Jim told me, it needs to be installed in the correct location on the barrel for everything to work together, which I did. If you decide to have Jim install one on your gun, I am sure it will work cor
