  1. Bookmarked for future reference. Any info on defending myself should I find myself in a situation like yours is vital, and I'd much rather have it on hand as opposed to having to search for it all over.
  2. Haha you could call that GSG whatever you want, it wont offend me. I bought it for a friend, he owed me money, payed me with that, I had it for a few months and after cleaning and lubing, the damn thing would jam after 3 rounds every time. I will never buy another ATI product. I hate everytime i search AK or 1911 on gunbroker I get a ton of ATI knock offs. Eww! What gunbroker are you going to? Hahaha, jk. Oddly enough I don't seem to have that issue.
  3. Awesome, it'll be nice to get some insight on another Rem-Rand. The potential history of this gun fascinates me. The barrel on the inside is actually from a 1945 Colt M1911, so I'm pretty sure after it's trip back to the Springfield Armory where it was mashed with others, it vent on to Korea or even Vietnam before my dad acquired it back in 1985.
  4. You see... Once you paid to be a contributor, the money trail led back to you destroying your anonymity. Now you're being tracked by agents of the Federal Government & when your warn bar fills up, they come & take all your guns.... So... Be verwy, verwy, carefuwl.... :lolol:
  5. Take a look here in the general discussion and see if you can find my old M1911 thread, not the Taurus one. It's got pictures of my Rem-Rand so you can compare if you'd like. It's probably on page 2 or 3. Better yet, here is the link to save you some time.
  6. Lol @ the cat. No offense, but that GSG-5 looks like an ugly POS too, hahah. Shame about the Mosin, I really want one bad, as well as a German K-98. None of those Yugo remakes
  7. Thanks. I doubt he lost much sleep. It's a large area & I wouldn't think he personally does the tasks of Concealed Handgun Licence approval. I would think he has others to do that stuff & he just signs his name. I just couldn't just lay down & let my rights be violated by some organization that thinks everyone will just bend over & take it. Administrative rules & ordinances, although long, dry reads, are rather clear on most things. They are on the internet posted by the states in most cases. One can find the pertinent info by looking at communications that the sta
  8. You were saying you wanted to give me many free guns, just for me being a good me
  9. Post, that M1911 is a Remington Rand right? Could you PM me the first 3 number of the SN (provided it's in the hundred thousands and not the millions) so I could compare it to mine? I'm sure mine is a Rem-Rand as well, but someone else insisted it was Ithaca, although mine it out of that serial number range and more in line with Remington Rands.
  10. So I realized I don't have any 9mm's around and have decided I needed to fix that since the ammo is cheap and can provide hours of fun. After looking at the G17, I decided that it just looked too weird to me, the feel is not what I like. I stumbled across the G19, and immediately fell in love with it's looks, size, ergonomics and concealability. So my question for you all to answer is this: What are your opinions of it? Is it worth getting? Also, I am getting a G30 as well, so I don't need to worry about recommendations for a larger caliber.
  11. +1 for the example. But to be honest, those look like bandages with dry blood and shit stains on them that were rubbed on grass to give the green. Vivid, I know, but it's the best way for me to describe it Its called mossy oak. Thats quite the imagination you've got there... Same difference! And yes, my imaginative skills are out of this world
  12. Great work taking matters into your own hands working for yourself. Bet that Sheriff wasn't too happy.
  13. With all due respect, I hope you didn't have to contemplate too long on whether he was serious or not. After the first two reasons I knew he was joking, but just to be on the safe side, he could have been a simple-minded bastard who doesn't know better. And yes, I know what a Satire is.

  15. That's a situation where the states are looking at the constitution as more of a suggestion, as opposed to what they should be doing. The states that joined the CSA before the civil war happened argued that constitution was nothing more than a piece of paper and that the federal government was nothing more than a loose alliance between states. They felt as independent states, they could make their own laws, and that there would be no federal government regulating or setting standards for their laws.
  16. Probably wanted it to solidify his status as a forum outlaw. Soon there would be Wanted Threads offering e-rewards for his e-arrest! lol but your the only one that can see it... I got a warning as a joke. I made the comment It gave me street cred Regardless, you can say you've got a 10% warning, then other can check with the local sheriff and his deputies (Admins and mods)! That's like the closest thing we have to a masked cowboy outlaw.
  17. The clause isn't supposed to make sense; it's supposed to keep people from obtaining a permit. What you listed is exactly what they use to deny permits. Yeah, and it's a total crock. But as long as we have yahoos attempting to run the show, it's gonna be nothing but more shit that makes no sense. "Please demonstrate your need for a tax refund." You - "Uhm... What???" Yes, but this suit seeks an injunction against the enforcement of such laws. Hopefully the court rules in his favor, and if they do, these laws will be on their way out. So I read. I can only hope they rule in
  18. If you look on Cabela's website, if you search for the camo tape, they show a rifle with it wrapped around it. It looks okay, but it's just not me, haha. You obviously can't cover any moving parts, but if you were to paint, the sky would be your limit. Again, should you screw up, just paint it all black again.
  19. While it's good to have places like this, the problem is exactly that. Some people live in places that cause them lots of problems with getting a CCW. Your rights should not hinge on where your house happens to be. They shouldn't really, but in the grand scheme, our rights are hinged everywhere. For example, you have your freedom of speech, BUT, you can't say this or that or even that, because it offends such and such or you are being too much of a free thinker.
  20. To be perfectly honest, if you mess up with the finish, you can just sand it all back off and paint it black again. Just take some pieces of wood and practice a camo design. The tape will just wear out after a while, especially if you're out in humid environments, it may hold but it won't be long till it starts peeling. It'll be much more rewarding and more creative if you do your own camo design, but it's just a thought. I think it's a risk worth taking, but take some time to practice painting patterns on little planks of wood or pieces of plastic/metal until you're comfortable and ready to m

  22. I have a Javelina Longslide 10mm which I need to post a picture of. That shit is sexy.

  24. Well of course you can't demonstrate a threat! If she said "Oh, I've got a stalker who's been breaking into my car and house for the past week," they'll most likely say "Ma'am, you do not need a permit for that as the authorities will handle it." A CCW is about protecting yourself from all sorts of threats. There's more than just one threatening thing out there. Today, no one may be out to get you, but tomorrow a whole gang is coming after you or your significant other hired a hitman to dispatch you. EDIT: You know what, scratch that, you can demonstrate it. Simply go into the court room w
  25. It's safe to say he's not being serious. He's using this to take a stab at the government and local authorities by showing that those statements are in fact not true at all. Thirty minutes for the police to show up to the scene of a robbery hardly calls for people to place 100% of their trust in them, and I think that's what he's trying to say. If however, I'm reading this wrong and this guy is serious, then may God help him open his eyes to the realities around him. Again, Kudos to this guy for calling it like it is, he knows full well that police paperwork won't protect a woman from being mu
