  1. It'd be much, much quicker and more accurate if you used a dremel.
  2. A LeMat is on a lot of our wishlists. You can find them cheaper, but not by much, unfortunately (which has been my bar to ownership). Well, I had always hoped that my family stashed away some guns somewhere, and that we'd soon discover the cache, but that won't happen =[
  3. Funny you should mention the LeMat. It's on my wishlist of handguns I'd like to own! I just wanna try out that 16 gauge smooth bore barrel underneath =P I know cabela's sells a replica for roughly $800-900, but I'm sure you can find them cheaper.
  4. Just a quick update: I've run into a bit of a snag finding that color I want. Those of you who are familiar with Fender Guitars should know of the Fender Deluxe Strat with the tortoise shell pickguard and it comes in a transparent sapphire. That's the kind of blue I'm looking for. I can't seem to find a polyurethane like that though. Anyone have any ideas?
  5. Mind showing use a picture or two of that prototype? I'd like to see that.
  6. What is it that you want to adjust or tune about it? You can always polish up the hardware with some sand paper, emery cloth, steel wool, or using a dremel.
  7. I don't know, after reading that post a few times, something just doesn't make sense. It's kind of along the lines of what Kevin said. Also, I'm sure 99% of the women who would fill out an application would choose the correct gender. Maybe it was an accident, or maybe it's on purpose to not get harassed, but something still smells fishy (and no that's not a pun on a woman's "freshness" though now that I think about it, it's pretty funny). If this person doesn't trust anyone with a gun, why come to a forum where 99% (I say 99 because there might be those who due to monetary issues and what not
  8. Ho, Ho, now you got me scared, please remind me latter to wet my pants. Don't you understand its not possible to buy Accuvel anymore, so what are your evil comments good for?. If you need to be smart in front of this forum then try to keep quiet sometimes as this way no one will know the real size of your skills, People access this forum for information to further their knowledge of their weapons, while occasionally discussing products, such as FCGs, FSBs, Scopes, etc., that actually work. However, none of us MARKET those items like some slicked-back-greasy-hair car dealers. The
  9. Wrong again, its the hard way to catch Suckers, but it worked for you and you are my first one. I'm sorry, it didn't work for me, because I didn't purchase that product. So if getting someone to make fun of something is something you consider successful, then please don't ever own a business. EDIT: Patriot, you're almost there, practice is your best teacher but if you're not a natural shooter then even practice wont bring you tight. Yet even assuming that you are a Natural and get all the practice you need an thousands of rounds are in your pocket, then why do shooters cha
  10. I had a Browning Hi Power, a 1975 belgium one...it was great, but I sold it probably a big mistake... Had the C&S wide combat trigger, extended slide release, commander hammer kit, new extractor, hogue grips and extended safety.... +1 For the pictures, awesome looking gun. Too bad it's no longer in your possession =[ However, on the bright side, there is a solution to that, just get another =P Maybe one day, but doing that gun with C&S parts was a pain in the ass! none of the parts were drop in, so I can to file all of them to fit (including the sear in the hammer

  12. Try pushing the spring in with the cover off. Maybe something is jammed into the carrier where the spring slides into, not allowing it to go in all the way? Being a spring nothing jammed in front of it should really affect it, but it is possible I suppose. Perhaps the spring itself is too stiff.
  13. That looks like it was made out of old indian drum heads. Stretch that over a hollowed-out piece of wood and you've got yourself a bongo. Interesting concept though. I wonder how it feels, and what it's tolerance is to machine washing, or if there are some different cleaning methods. I wish they went into a bit more detail on how long it took to "grow." I wish I could grow a clean pair of jeans after a day in the shop =/
  14. Not a problem, there are a few things I'm looking for myself. Got my heart set on a Walther P-38, Walther PP, Confederate LeMat Revolver, FN Model 1903, Browning High Power, S&W Model 686 Plus, Glock 30 and there's probably a few more too that I just can't think of right now.
  15. I see a lot of folks going the the S&W, but I love my Taurus Tracker too. Shot plenty through it, and it's still ready for plenty more.
  16. I'll keep an eye out. There's another gun show around here in about two weeks, if there's one there, I'll be sure to let you know.
  17. Haha, I won't argue there about the revolvers. I love my Taurus Tracker (see avatar and sig), and that thing is just rock solid.
  18. saiga12.com if full of liars and lies..... That guy is a pansy for not coming directly here to say it to the virtual faces of the people who read this forum. You're a pussy-ass-mofo if you continue to bash someone or a group of people without saying it to their faces. I bet his buddies on the AR forum think he's a real hero. "HEAR YE, HEAR YE, I DOTH HATH EXPOSED THE LIES THAT HATH BEEN TOLD!" I bet if someone called him out, he'd go delete that post and say it was never written, or someone hacked his account and wrote it. Then he'd turn around and say we're lying and slandering the AR
  19. I mark my dummies with a sharpie, haha, though that tends to wear away, so I'll do the drilling hole method.
  20. Well damn, that's unfortunate. I guess I could just make my own dummies.
  21. Lookin' good. Their mother must be one sexeh AK ;]
  22. Already long noted, but thanks for the reminder. If worse comes to worse, I'll make my own. Thanks Dave, I'll take a look.
  23. As some of you might now, I'll be making the wood on my WASR a very sexy blue. However, I want to get rid of that plastic PG. Anyone have any idea where I can find a nice wooden PG that I could do a little somethin'-somethin' with to match the rest of furniture?
