Let me add another interesting tidbit to the fire, anyone happen to notice the Russian 10 round 5.45 magazine that K-var just recently got in? I bet these are what came in with the SGL31 guns. Something to think about anyway.

Hey Guys, got my 5.45 Saiga a few days ago, have not got a chance to shoot it as yet. Tonight I was wiping it down and thought I would try one of my Russian plum magazines to see if it would fit. It snapped right in and locked up tight, I then loaded 10 rounds in the magazine and manually cycled the bolt. It worked perfect, Take the top cover and compare the factory magazine and the military mags, I bet it works, will try it this weekend.

I called RAAC about the mags, she said call back in about 2 months. She said the next shipment of rifles would arrive in about the same timeframe. Wonder how many 5.45 Saigas were ordered?

Do these mags have the silver proofmark on the top right side? I can't tell from the box of mags.

Nalioth, thanks for the information. JohnH Talked with RAAC yesterday, she said the first load of 5.45 Saigas were due at their location today. Clyde said earlier they were already here in the states awaiting final paperwork. Dealers will probably have them later next week I bet.
