I think the response was inappropriate. A parks officer or local unit should have been the only response not SWAT. And the hunters should not have been met with weapons at the ready. There was no reasonable cause to believe the shooters were a public threat or that a felony was in progress. Sounds to me like you have a canted front post. There are a few shops that know how to fix it, but you need a shop press and some other tools. correction I see you are way beyond my info

I use a tapco steel adjustment tool and it works really well.

I have a ace stock and they are very solid and well made, albeit expensive. The folding mechanism gives you more vertical adjustment so you can have a better cheek weld.

I have a dragunov style stock with rotating cheek piece I would sell and a Texas Weapon Systems rail with peep sight. Very good to excellent condition as well as some other Saiga parts. Let me know what you need I will see if I have it.

I did a little cusom work to that posp scope its a low rider now.

If you want the black dragunov stock with the cheek piece it is designed for use with a PSO scope not the POSP. PSO scopes sit back farther and are a little offset. The cheek piece rotates up and holds your head offset to line up with the scope. Also thats the reason for the relatively long LOP.

Well the CSS parts arrived today which was super fast. And I am appreciative. One thing I have learned is that the Engage grip FDE is much different than Magpul FDE. Not wanting three colors on it I painted it black with a couple coats of spray paint. Hope it works well. When the Dinzag parts come it I will put it together and get a pic with a little more info. I guess this thread is a running diary at this point.

I have ordered my parts from CSS and I messed up on the order, but they have been real helpful.

Here we go again... this will be #4 for me, but the first using these particular parts. I am going to be trying the CAA AR-AK tube adapter for M4 stocks with a Magpul MOE FDE stock. I am using an ENGAGE FDE grip. Other than that I am going for the Arsenal 2 stage FCG and the new JTE spring. All in all I hope this will be a good rifle. Next on the list might be to pursue a 6.8 spc. Might trade off a saiga to get one, or at least an upper. If I can get a decent pic I will post it.

I really like the 16's. 308 is still plenty powerful out of a short barrel. Loud yes, but I find it gets quieter every year.

the above is correct, however the Vepr 308 barrel is smaller in diameter slightly than the Saiga 308 barrel. The Vepr I built was admired by the range members here and one told me it was definitely lighter than his FAL. FWIW I have done conversions on both Vepr and Saiga 21 inch rifles and the Saiga did not balance as well and was not quite as accurate. YMMV. Also the Vepr receiver has a cross support pin sitting low and in front of the hammer which will require heavy mods to an AK hammer or a special Vepr hammer. My Vepr (stupidly sold) had the best finish and smoothest function of an AK
