  1. My steel mags are the same way. I was going very slow too and ended up with the same amount of play as your describing...but my stock mag still fits very tight. I wouldn't worry about it.
  2. I agree the daughter was a bit of a nag, but I liked the show and all of his guys...will definately continue to watch.
  3. Still waiting on my 30rd mags but my first conversion was fun. I shoot lefty so the BHO doesn't bother me.
  4. I'd call before ordering. When I ordered my 7.62 two weeks ago I went through 2 web sites that showed in stock, when I called to verify both were on backorder until February or later.
  5. Only place I could find one is Peach State guns. I heard they are in low supply to the public due to military contracts.

    Recoil Pads

I contacted FSE and that pad will NOT fit the Tapco T6 stock. Damn!
  7. His videos really helped me with my conversion so I placed another order yesterday to complete my build. Nice web site, fast shipping...can't ask for much more. The 5% coupon code made him cheaper than other sites I was comparing prices to.

    Recoil Pads

Anyone know if the FSE recoil pad will fit a Tapco adjustable stock?
  9. Just ordered a Vortex Strikefire from Gander Mountain for $138.00 shipped. Use coupon code "GMH0109" and get $20 off and free shipping. Will be $8 cheaper if you don't have to pay tax. Now I just gotta decide on a mount. Either TWS or UTG...don't really care about co-witnessing especially with a quick disconnect. So I'll probably just get the UTG and save $100.
  10. I was leaning toward the BP-02 but changing direction to this http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=61640 to use with my vortex strikefire. Only thing I'm not sure of is if I want the peep sight.
  11. Most Micro sights will allow use of the sight without needing to be removed (co-witnessing). Ok...so you just use the micro sight through the scope if the scope fails? Or are you actually using the micro sight in conjunction with the red dot?
  12. I'm kinda new to this but what is the point of the rear sight? It looks like it would just get in the way of viewing the red dot. It's not like there is a quick disconnect to remove the scope and use the irons. Does this require removal of the factory rear sight?
  13. What type of mount are you using for your red dot? Also, what foregrip is that, looks good.
  14. Found this pic of a Vortex Strikefire on a Saiga and it looks pretty good with the side mount. It came like this from Peach State Guns so I'm guessing it fires true. The Vortex comes with a lifetime warrenty and is only $150.00, Gander Mountain sells them so if I don't like it I can just return it. I haven't heard any bad thing abou this red dot since they beefed up the electronics. This is the one I'm gonna order.
  15. I'll be getting a side rail low mount. I've heard good things about the TRS-25 it's just a little small for my liking, I feel like the rifle dwarfs it. Also, don't those have to be mounted in the forward position?
