  1. Are Tantals chrome-lined?
  2. Yes... the stock trigger I had worked. AK standard trigger is far more superior than the stock one. Glad to know you enlighten me that what I wrote previously was an opinion... I gets confuseds and stuffs
  3. All I have to say is that the sporter trigger looks like something Rube Goldberg would've made... That whole set-up as compared to the standard AK trigger group is just plain absurd,,, I would never in a million years say that the sporter trigger setup is as good as a standard AK setup.
  4. I have 4... is that enough? NOT FOR SALE! lolz
  5. I didn't know they had other manufacturers of 5.45 uppers other than S&W. I sooo want one! Which 5.45 AR do you have?
  6. +1 on the review... Love the exact review of the clamping system.
  7. You need to relax bro. They are coming from the Ukraine. It is going to take awhile. I'm sure people will post when they arrive with comments about condition and what not. Take a chill pill. Dick. Do you understand where the Ukraine is? It is not like it will get here in 3 days. I wouldn't be surprised if it left the Ukraine post office on a Donkey. You started asking if anyone received their stuff 2 days after people said they got their tracking number! You should show a little respect to Sickness for organizing this, the only thing he gets out of this is the satisfac

  9. I can't find any welded linkage pin holes on mine so I am going to propose a basic hypothesis. They might be arriving in some variation with the trigger forward already. That there makes 100% since to me !!!!!!!! Ill be damned if they start coming like this!!! AHHH! This would make conversions even more easier... Yeah, more easier... Looks like I missed out.
  10. Dudes... Anyone got the stuffs?
  11. Ateast it sounds like you know how to take care of replacing an AK barrel when it comes in. You should put up how to cut and recrown a barrel!
  12. Too late for this one since the bulk mags are on the way from his distributor already. In a month or two, maybe I'll try to put another one together. I figure by then folks will have gotten their mags and had a chance to test them out. Maybe some of the guys that only bought 1 or 2 mags will want more. For the price, it makes a lot of sense to stock up on them vs. typical 30rd mags, I think. I'm planning to get a total of 24 mags by the time I'm done.. since I can load up a full 1080rd case of 7n6 into them. Once everyone gets their mags and is happy, I'm going to extend an invite t
  13. Urban (100 yards and in) and wood usage the 7.62 is better for the less likely the bullet will get deflected. The 5.45 round is hands down better for open area shooting upwards to 400 meters +. It could be considered an acceptable round for urban and wooded areas, but defections are more likely, but follow up shots are also more likely more accurate as well vs 7.62 (huge run on). I shot both and I have to say that 5.45 is funnier to shoot and accurate out pass 100m. I seriously doubt it matters if you hit something with a 5.45 vs a 7.62 within 100 yards.IMO you have more applications with
  14. Let us know when someone has received the goods!
  15. You could just hone the end of the brake out with a honing tool. But before I would even attempt that, I would first clean that god aweful crown with a CAREFUL scraping using a flat head (the one that comes with the cleaning kit I use). Fire the weapon w/o the brake and see if you get keyholes. If that's the case, then best bet its the brake or barrel. 2000 rounds is an awfully small amount of rounds for this weapon to have a shot out barrel.
  16. Don't be surprised if you end up paying $40 for it, then. I don't know why I would be paying $40... Because this was a GROUP buy.. not an everlasting discount from this seller. He sells single mags on gunbroker at $40 regularly. Why would he drop it to $25 for a single mag, after he filled other orders for the group? If he does, its just because he's cool. He already gave me a price... I just need to send my payment. Whats the rush to send a payment if you said he doesn't currently have any stocks left? I get paid soon so I'll "hold out" till the end of this week.

  18. Understood. I'm anxious too. He got back to me - he said that he made a few shipments already from what he had on hand. He is now waiting for the next batch from his supplier. He hopes to have all of them out in the next 3-5 days. Part of the problem also is that we blew the curve, so to speak.. he had placed an order and we came in above the number, so he had to call his distributor back and update the order, and that incurred a time penalty as well. So.. we can blame the folks that ordered more than they originally quoted (I'm one of those) and possibly the stragglers that came in
  19. I was amazed to find some 5.45x39 at Academy for $8.50 for 30 rounds! It's Monarch brand, but made by Brown Bear (Barnul?). Does anyone else have access to local supply of 5.45?
  20. So this is a new rifle you shot for the first time? What month/year was your rifle made?
  21. Could Sickness instead of being in Group "Member" (under is avatar) be placed in Group "Beast"... This is a very impressive coordination of events!
  22. PLEASE put me down for one (1) mag. Thanks
  23. For giggles I would remove the brake to make sure there isn't an obstruction... I shoot only 200 rounds and my brake has carbon baked all over it... No telling what yours looks like on permanently (hopefully by a reversible solder job) and 2000+ rounds shot outta it. That would also give you a good look at the crown and see if its been mauled after ramming a cleaning rod down it repeatedly.
  24. Hrm.... I said the easiest way to obtain one IMO is to know someone that is a CMP member and a C&R holder and ask them to order you one... I have several friends with these credentials. And you do need to have a C&R to get the gun shipped to your house, otherwise you have to go and pick the rifle out in person.
  25. Easier is relative... But you cant just call up and say you want to purchase a rifle from the CMP... You need to be a member, which is not that hard to become.
