  1. Anything from old bulgies to new tapcos. I have legendary AK reliability in a custom 922 legal package
  2. You can also grind out the bottom of the chamber opening a bit to make it a small ramp to help. That's what I did.
  3. By putting in your 10 round mag, it becomes a sporting rifle. It is readily adaptable for sporting purposes because you can easily put in the 10 round mag.
  4. Yes, that has been my experience and remember just be mindful of 922r compliance and your local and state laws, if you intend to use mags with capacities over 10 rounds. You usually dont have to mess with the mag catch on the 5.45 rifles like you do on the 7.62 and .223 versions to get the mag to fit. The 5.45 mags should pop right in. Like I said earlier mine feed all but the last round fine, so I needed the bullet guide for 100% reliable feeding. If he doesn't take off the monte carlo stock, or puts on a dragunov style stock with the grip integrated he doesn't have to worry about
  5. Of course I have the bolt carrier out... Dork...
  6. Help I can't get my gas tube out. I unlatched the lever holding it in place, and I go to pull it out, and it just jams against the junction where it meets the receiver. I didn't try knocking it out or prying it because I don't want to damage it.... Thoughts?
  7. I just got it like a week ago... could that be in the bad batch?
  8. Hey slavshooters, I just got back from Dragonman's in Colorado Springs to test out my dinzag flat trunnion bullet guide with some milsurp ak74 mags. (I am 922r compliant, big brother, so leave me alone). The rounds seemed to cycle better out of my circle 10 than they did my circle 21. I'm thinking that perhaps one of two things needs to happen. 1. I need to keep shooting it, it needs to be broken in more. 2. I should get a dremel tool and grind in a very shallow feed ramp at the base of the barrel beneath the chamber to aid the rounds loading smoothly. Advice / ideas?
  9. The first few rounds I put through mine with bulgarian 30 rd mag jammed up hardcore. It looks like mine is going to have to have the bullet guide installed. Fortunately it's on order from Dinzag and en route as you read this post. Not looking forward to tapping that hole out, but hey, I want it to work so I've no choice.
  10. My trunnion is flat. I don't think I've read anywhere where there were problems with Dinzag's flat trunnion bullet guides. Funny, I could get 'em to feed out of a circle 10 and a circle 21 fine just cycling the bolt, but when the time came to shoot, every 3rd one would jam up. I'm glad I ordered that thing, reloading that little ten round mag gets irritating.
