  1. Its after the 4th of July...I'm just saying... Surprise Surprise. Guess they are onboard a "ship" waiting to "clear customs". My guess is this is not going to happen. 2 weeks later and the vendor does not announce the preorder Color me whatever The horse/carrot routine is in full effect
  2. Bullet feed guide and open the magwell and the standards 74's should work I imagine this rifle would be exactly like the 7.62X39mm version but with the 5.45 chambering
  3. Are there any dealers with waiting lists yet? Fed Depot: Various people on various threads have talked about these for years. No dealers have waiting lists, because the product is not confirmed by any official sources. All people get when they call the importer is vague promises of "maybe sometime soon". Kymasabe: I'd hold off on buying 6k rounds of 5.45x39 and focus on the important things in life.... like accumulating 7.62x39 ammunition. Yeah I noticed a lot of disinformation when I was researching this topic using my Google-Fu I also noticed that the 7.62X54R versi
  4. That is great. I'll check with your business then

  9. Cobra is that the same steel mag as this one. BTW what ever happened to the stamp to form these? Superb Im in when they come out. Nice to see metal being shaped the way man was meant to bend the earth elements
  10. Geez... the way you describe it, you make it seem like a bad thing..... You should be proud to be a Saiga owner! NO REHAB NEEDED! But when will I know when to stop? Or more important will I be able to stop?
  11. It is a powerful need that when set cannot be thoroughly qeunched. Once I got a taste of high cap 12gauge thunder on the 10rders in 2007 I havent been the same since Those MD drums are super sweet. I will go after those when I obtain my 3rd S-12 Keep it cool out in the sandbox macross40k
  12. picked up my pair today Then I slammed 13 rounds into these bad boys I have a really bad case of wood after this. I thought only women were supposed to do this to a gunner ? I am a self confessed Saiga 12 alchoholic Another IZ-109 is on the way I need rehab

Also for the fellas
  15. Yup you hit that nail right on the head PS Awesome Vepr 12!!!!
  16. Or they could import them with single stack magwells that can be opened up and the parts replaced with US ones much like the Romanian WASR rifles. I dont think its an impossiable matter to import the Vepr 12. It would just take a qualified importer to do it First off, if you have a "double stack" Saiga 12 then I am jealous!!! Second of all it will never come to be with the VEPR because there is not a "sporting" version of that line. From what I understand about the law, a police department or government agency could import the VEPR 12 in its existing configuration, but none will for

  18. Since the Saiga 12 seems to constantly be some kind of mythical beast these days whats stopping the Vepr 12 from cming into the US market? IIRC when veprs where cming in a few years back there were no problems getting that hardware in Who do we bug to get the next brand of magazine fed 12g brought into the US?

  21. Cobra, What tools do you recomend for making the BHO on a S12? +1 on what dinzag said about the scratch. I use a dremel and a #420 cutoff wheel, then clean it up with a small sanding drum. You can change the contour to grab the charging handle in different ways. If you leave it sharp and perpendicular at the top of the cutout (where it actually holds the bolt back) it will hold it more firmly and lessen the chance of it accidently disengaging. I experimented with rounding that part slightly and polishing it smooth with the rubber type polishing wheel on the dremel until I can release

  23. See my thread back on March 17. Easier said than done. SAIGA S-12 Bendable flats, What am I missing? Why for a AK but not a S12 http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=15600 The thickness of the flat to absorb the pressures generated by the 12g cartridge would place it on the level close to a milled receiver which is far from easily bendable like an AK flat. Not to mention the additional reinforcements that are in the S12 receiver structure. If added this is addional manufacture or if going the way or simplifiying it and going milled is a substantial increase in the cost of the
  24. +1 Thats a good idea. Im in on this thread
