  1. Okay none of those are for the S12. Guess I didn't mention caliber in OP.
  2. I converted my S12 originally with a trigger guard designed to allow AR grip. I ended up with a tacti-cool gun that's to heavy and just not what I'm after and as a result its sat in the safe for 8 months. Now I've decided to go back to something more traditional (crummy timing) and I can't seem to find a trigger guard that will allow for a an AK style (wood specifically) grip. I know there is gun madness going on right now, but seriously, a trigger guard? Anyone know who's got them?
  3. Thanks guys. Ive read the how tos and been working on my bolt on and off and just can't seem to smooth out that last little "notch". It's better but I started getting a little worried about the amount of material coming off the edges. Once Pauly gets caught up I'll likely just send it to him and get it don't right.
  4. You know what stinks about this thread? The OP actually asked a question in one of his later posts about how his bolt sticks about a 1/4" before it fully seats into the carrier. Mine does the same thing and part of me hoped somone would throw out some thoughts but by that point he had pissed off so many people with his crummy attitude it was overlooked.
  5. Yes you have to remove rear sight. Mine had to be ground, filed, beat and cussed at. My buddy hit his with a punch like three times and it almost flew out. (Rotten SOB)
  6. Great deal with Parf on a Chaos rail today. Turned out he was local and we ended up making deal FTF. Great guy and item was as promised. Thanks.
  7. Yeah I still want one. Sorry about the confusion on the name. Been waiting forever for a Titan and this is the next best thing. PayPal standing by.
  8. I did keep my tang insert and with the exception of the rivets needing to be drilled out its reusable. Perhaps I should have it welded back in place and go from there.
  9. I posted this image over in the picture gallery but I don't know if it will see enough traffic to get me the answer I'm looking for. So I'm very close to finishing my conversion and I knew I wanted to put a specific AR stock on it, the Magpul UBR. So I opted for the SGM Tactitcal rear trunion. I removed the factory one and last night finally installed the new part. If you know the UBR you know that unlike most AR stocks it has a propreitarty tube that goes with it, which stays fixed. Here is where I ran into trouble. As you can see at the bottom of the trunion there is a smal
  10. By no means a glamour shot, I just finished it all last night at 11:30. Still waiting on barell shroud from Alumalite and a Titan from whoever gets in stock first. I'll post better pictures when it's all finished. Did the all the work myself, including the Duracoat which didn't turn out as white as I would have liked but it's still good. Not sure on the stock though. I love the UBR but the way I mounted it, used the SMG rear trunnion, it sits to low and jams into my hand pretty good. Likely going to go with a more traditional AR stock and put the UBR on my AR.
  11. I just put the concave Halo on my Saiga last week. Absolutely love the look of it. How was your buying experience? I placed my order more then 24 hours ago and then emailed them with questions about the fit this morning and I haven't heard squat back. If I dont get a response soon I'm calling my credit card company. What kind of business doesnt give a phone number to reach them on.
  12. Question, what are you using as a safety stop? I ordered that same trigger guard for my build only to discover not safety stop. Is that something you made?
  13. Hello all. As this is my first post, a brief introduction is in order. I've just recently entered the wonderful world of firearms, and finding a new hobby in them. I started with handgun, built up my first AR, and last weekend at the local gunshow added a Saiga 12 to the mix. I've placed all my orders for parts, going to do everything at once and do it right the first time. I spent the last hour here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/8856-all-new-members-go-here-first/ and my brain is now ozzing out my right ear. So onto my actual questions. My plan is to tear the g
