  1. Hi, anyone any first hand experience with those? I am particulary interested in the difference in felt recoil between a front end break and a mid barrel on on low brass rounds? Talking about 28g rounds. Currently I am using a maxround polychoke front end break.
  2. works great and is south of 50 euro. They take OEM Saiga or Molot 8 round magwell mags or you just modify aftermarket ones. You can get them free fall without problem. I have ProMags and so far they work without problem.
  3. Rusmilitary will get some new ones soon you can pre order them on the page
  4. OEM ones from Izhmash for around 45 to 50 euro
  5. the reccomendation here in my part of the world, with regards to IPSC and low weight sporting rounds, is a 1911 spring, as front spring, with something between 10 and 14 pounds However that still does not tell me how strong the original is
  6. Magazines are interchangeable for sure at least the 8 round Molot and the 8 round Izhmash magwell magazine But good to know that the magwells are different although I would have liked to be them the same. Would have made things easier for me who what? Is on 1st from tomorrow on Ellesbury I hope
  7. yes there is a magwell that fits on the magwell that is meant to avoid the rock and lock thing so you have the lower receiver of the gun then you put the magwell under it and then you put a magwell on the bottom of the magwell lol
  8. There is a magwell for the Molot that you put on the bottom of the magwell. It opens it wider funnels it so to speak to the the mag in faster. It looks the same like one I have seen for the Saiga but I am not sure
  9. Does anyone know if OEM magwell for the Saiga is the same as the one for the Molot? Also if the magwell that you can put on the OEM Molot Magwell (kind of magwell on the magwell= fits for the Saiga OEM magwell too? Heck lots of magwells in those senteces
  10. Does anyone know how many pounds the factory recoils springs have? Info for both springs would be great Thx a lot
  11. If its the one I mean it comes fully loaded with magwell folding stock and so on it does not strike me as too bad pricewise. They come close to 2000 Euro in some EU countries. Thats already 2600 US around. So yes I guess you paid more than most but not toooo much more considering your circumstances.
  12. thx. Yep I am not dissatiesfied so far. As it cycles everything above 30gramms or so and could be worse with 28 gramms I guess. Any replamcement parts out of the US are idealy avoided as it seems that even a picture of a gun is ITAR these days Of course you can always get stuff even outside of the US but the main problem is that you cannot be sure if you will ever get a replacement if it breaks. A whole indusrie developed for non US AR 15 parts for example. Puck and Plug is in the works as there are OEM options for the puck and the plug is available outside of the US too Lets see
  13. Yep it is my second language. First one is German. Maybe I should not have used nice I edit the post because I just wanted to know how many rounds can be considered breaking in. Gave too much information at first to get the answer I wanted
  14. After how many rounds would you consider the saiga broken in? I dont want to do anything drastic until I am sure that it will not improve anymore from just breaking in. Especially as I dont think really drastic measures are needed.
  15. Hi, anyone going? If yes might be a chance to meet up on my side of the pond
  16. Is there a shop that stores Saiga parts (I am looking for regulator gas plug and improved gas piston and stuff like that) in the greater Boston area?
  17. for me the question is if 2 ports are OK in some cases then I just have to break it in more polish something or do something else However, if it is etablished that 2 ports are not enough then I dont have to go down that route but just go out and get more holes.
  18. I did read through lots of posts here and there are some post that say that there are 2 port Saigas that are on purpose like that and that the ports are bigger then and there are posts that say that 2 ports are not enough. I have a new Saiga and not many rounds out yet. However, i do have the FTE problem with some loads while others work fine. Mine is a 2 port Saiga and the 2 ports are nice to see and look pretty neat. Just wondering if this might be a problem or not
  19. I did replace the forearm of my Saiga with an aftermarket one and believe it or not my kitty somehow fall in love with the screw got it from the table and now I dont find it anymore lol Anyone an idea which screw it is so that I can buy a replacement. It should be a 4mm one with a lenght of around 8mm but has anyone an idea which thread it has?
  20. I am looking for a mag release option that allows me to release the mag with the trigger finger or a finger of the trigger hand. The whole thing should work with the version where the trigger is moved back. I only found options for the forward trigger version. Anyone any ideas?
  21. As the trigger is not allowed to be moved forward in Austria I am looking for an aftermarket Trigger that works with the trigger system back. Does something like that exist?
  22. There are supposed to be blueprints on how to install the Ihzmash magwell. Does anyone have them?
  23. There is a choke version with and without compensator directly from Saiga. Found them on a russian shop. However, they dont have pics so I dont know if the comp would really work as a comp or just look like one
  24. Does onyone have experience with those or has a picture of the comp pattern? They are original Ihzmash as far as I know and are available in 0,0, 1,0 and universal whatever that means in Russia
