  1. I've heard about 3 gun matches, would you explain what they actually entail?
  2. I've had both mounts from CDDN, the weaver and the built in ring and both were about $40. The weaver mount was too high for me when scoped with standard rings, I did mount my ATN red dot on it and although it was a bit high I think it would have worked. I sent the weaver back and got the rings model which droped the scope down about 1/2" to 5/8", better for my line of sight.
  3. [i would say sustained exssive heat ( 300* and up) would be more a problem than the cold, I do recommend warming them up first when installing them in the winter...ESPECIALLY if you strech them OVER the spring base. These are made from industrial grade urethane, same stuff the wheels on roller coasters and coal mining carts are made from. When / if it ever starts to tear and rip it's time to change it. Presently I am not charging shipping on any of my products but probably will start to charge for shipping some time in July.
  4. I made one of those ground safety levers to keep the bolt open and depending on how far back the bolt needs to be pulled back to lock it will determine whether you will be able to install a buffer. If you haven't ground the lever yet you will need to install the buffer before you mark the lever for cutting. BT's buffer is 1/2" thick and the one I make is 1/4" thick for what ever it's worth. I am using the internal bolt hold open lever on my Saiga-12 and Saiga-.308(both came with it), I put the original safety lever back on my SAR-3 that I had ground a lever for after I learned I could
  5. The FCG in that pic is a single hook that came out of a SAR-3 but I have since installed a Gordon double hook FCG. I never could come up with a good butt stock pad for the stock in the picture so I have ordered a Chote stockset. The AK stock in the pic beat my sholder up too much. I had to totaly redo the trigger group and guard and even the one I have on now will have to be changed to use the Chote stock, good thing I used bolts and nuts and not rivets for the trigger guard. I also had to reshape the Gordon hammer to get it to work properly. The stock FCG on this .308 was the w

I can help on the recoil buffer....I use them on my S-12 WWW.BlackJackbuffers.com
  7. I REALLY urge you all NOT to try to install the buffer over the spring base, I guess it's possible but you risk ripping or tearing the buffer (maybe), just separate the two springs, slide on the buffer and put the spring back on the connector piece.
  8. Sorry..my buffer just slid over the rear spring section, I didn't have to remove the spring from the spring base.
  9. I have several AK buffers that are the wrong shade of green that I am selling as blems for $8.00ea. shipped.
  10. Any takers on the Saiga-12 full choke?
  11. I only sell recoil buffers. I don't ever remember seeing a drum mag for a 10-22, all I've seen is large clips.
  12. Sorry for taking so long to reply, I have this thing called work that keeps getting in the way of things. If you are interested in the full choke for the Saiga I'll ship it to you for $20, if you want to use Paypal I won't charge any surcharge(MAKC gets first option). My Paypal address is Rsloan1@comcast.net I also have Recoil buffers for the Saiga's and all other AK's as well as SKS, Ruger 10-22 and Mac10 & 11.
  13. I produce a recoil buffer for the AK also (Saiga included) by the name of BlackJack Buffers, all you have to do is pull the spring off the coupler, slide on the buffer and then put the spring back on the coupler. I use the green(softer) BlackJack buffer on my Saiga-12. If you have any questions about them you can e-mail me at Rsloan1@comcast.net. www.BlackJackbuffers.com My buffers are guaranteed for life, I can do that because they don't wear out.
  14. The chokes go on and come off like they are supposed to now, I did end up with an extra full choke in all of this if anyone is interested.
  15. Well, I got the Saiga-12 back from Eaa the other day, I must have gotten a Friday built gun.(or a Monday hangover) Paul, EAA's gunsmith and one of the VP's re-threaded the barrel but when I talked to him on the phone he said that the safety lever had been beat up and the trigger rivits had been removed and reinstalled(??????) therefor he was voiding any future warranty. I told him I knew nothing of what he was talking about and that is how I received the gun from CDDN. I called CDDN and relayed all this to them and it was only after they called EAA did EAA agree to honor the 1 yr warrant
  16. CDNN has the mags for about $19ea.
  17. I got one of the wood forends from Krebs, it came off a rifle and would reqire a tremendous amount of fitting to work....I scrapped the idea.
  18. It's going back to EAA tomorrow.
  19. Looks like the barrel threads are messed up, maybe EAA has a die I can use to clean up the threads. The new chokes go on about 1/2 way then get real tight.
  20. It's the stock one that came with the gun, I'll try the 2 I got from EAA and see if they are any better. I'm going to talk to Eaa's gunsmith tomorrow about this.
  21. I had to use a 12" cresent wrench to remove the choke from my Saiga-12 and it was hard coming off the whole way. It doesn't look crossthreaded on the barrel but the choke is questionable. Is this the norm? Going back on was about as hard even after I cleaned out the threads.
  22. Give us a hint as to the price range
  23. Same AK buffer fits them all, you do have to pull that funky spring assembly apart on the saiga-12 to install the buffer.
  24. I am aware that turning the screw will raise or lower the front sight, my adjustment won't turn. Are they normally extreemly tight when new or does it seem that it is binding. I don't want to try to force it and break it.
