  1. Funny how the worldwide security "expert" doesn't know those are not RPG rocket launchers. Those AT4 tubes could be airsoft as well. Here is one that sold for $167: http://www.ebay.com/itm/M-136-AT-4-Tube-Only-Excellent-Condition-/110986045262?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d748a74e&nma=true&si=tmzS3ZAilPP5OgIioKrEsl99pGM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 And here is one for $249: https://www.buymilsurp.com/m136-at4-anti-armor-weapon-inert-display-p-42716.html I wonder how much they paid? I still don't get it. You turn a gun in for $100 gift
  2. I pay 4.4 cents per round for my 300 Blackout. I can shoot it for less than shooting a 22. Yes $44/1,000. Dolomite
  3. Thanks, I am on another board that is identical to this one and we lump them together.
  4. Looking for a folding stock mechanism. Must accept PayPal. Thanks Dolomite
  5. I removed the tang and the side rail while trying to get a KPup to run. I have a CSS receiver block coming as well as a 8.5" ACE stock. Just need to figure out how to fold it up. Dolomite
  6. Before I buy a hinge I am going to make sure I like the ACE stock. If I don't like it then I will get a folder that uses AR stocks and put the ACE on a rimfire AR. Has anyone ever seen a steel hinge?
  7. Yeah, having a hard time finding an ACE mechanism. I am not in any big hurry. Anyone know of anyone making them out of steel? I just leary of anything aluminum that rides on itself. Dolomite
  8. I found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-style-folding-stock-mechanism-/350712229854?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a813efde Wonder if it is worth taking a chance? It does say it is 7075 vs 6061 of the ACE. Dolomite
  9. I am converting my Saiga and going to a folder this time. Any issues? Pro/Cons? I have already ordered the stock and the receiver plate but no folding mechanism. Thanks Dolomite
  10. Spoke to the several branches within the ATF. With regards to 922r, and who must comply with it, this law applies to everyone. It is not just an import regulation that applies only to the importer. It applies to the importer but also the dealer who sells it as well as the individual who owns it. Additionally, if an individual decides to add or change parts of imported firearm that is subject to 922r they must ensure the gun is 922r compliant after the parts are added or swapped or they are in violation of the law. The individual owner is also responsible for ensuring that any weapon they ow
  11. I would like to get my hands on that rear sight that attaches to a picatinny rail. Dolomite
  12. I pup the stock up in a moment of frustration and went to bed. I was going to pull the ad back down and keep it but someone offered me a fair price for it. I will not order another. Not because the stock isn't great, because it is a very comfortable stock, but because of the company's unwillingness to even acknowledge me. I guarantee if I sent an email saying the stock was great they would respond instantly like they have before but if I replied with advice on any problems I would not hear another peep. My "new" setup will have welded HK sights, Molot grip and CSS billet trigger guard.
  13. I have thought about using a cooler to store stuff in a vehicle. I would buy foam layers to seperate items or build compartments. They generally have handles on them and are water and air tight. Another thing to prevent people from messing with it is to mark it "Human Organ for Transplant" or "Biohazardous Materials". I realized that using tool cases was a bad idea because of all the tool cases in the pawn shops I frequent. I think if a bad guy had a choice of a tool or a firearm most would choose a tool. Right now my truck gun is in a soft case under the rear seat. Dolomite
  14. The gun runs 100% without being inside the K-Pup stock. Outside of the stock I can "limp wrist" the gun and it runs great. I originally traded a converted gun for a stock gun to use with the stock. Now I am going back to a more traditional setup. I have found a buyer for the stock that already has quite a few. He likes them and is happy to get another one. I am happy to get enough to convert this gun. I wish it would have worked out but it didn't. Lesson learned. Dolomite
  15. It is not painted. I may coat the bolt with some gold high temp paint and run it. I have a horrible memory since my helicopter accident. With that being said I remember getting the same issue without the top cover or that secondary cover in place. I have not tried it since removing the side rail though. It doesn't make sense that the clamshell could move metal enough to cause it to bind. It feels smooth when hand cycling with no obvious bind points. I may go ahead and do a traditional conversion. I would rather have a reliable gun than a cool looking gun. Not sure it matter
  16. Ok, some more shooting today and getting one stove pipe per mag on average. I cannot figure this out. It kicks the casings out about 5-6 feet at about a 2 pm angle forward when it doesn't stovepipe. It does it when inside the K-Pup stock but not when it is in original configuration. It does it with ProMag, SGM and Keepshooting mags. I have a DPH gas block and it does it in settings 5 or 6. The 3 ports are drilled .093" and angled. CSS puck factory recoil springs. Glassed bolt. Here is a video of the malfunction: Any ideas? Dolomite
  17. I honestly wish the penalties for beating and abusing animals were as stiff as for beating or abusing people. People who beat their animals are nothing more than animals themselves and should have the same fate as those they beat. Or have the same fate as he animals that stake out their pets for weeks without food, water or shelter. In all the pitbulls we have owned, bred or raised we have never had a single one that was not a loving, well mannered, member of the family. Yes some were dumber than others, just like people, but they were all great dogs. As I type this I have my pitbull Lilly
  18. Check your ammo. I measured Tula and Wolf 7.62x39 and most of them measured .308", not .311". I also tore down a bunch of ammo checking powder charges and bullet weights. I pulled some 7.62x39 Tula down to use the cases to load quality components in. While I was at it I decided to check the powder charge and the bullet weights. As far as the powder goes they fluctuated between 25.1 and 25.6 grains. I did have one measure 23.0 grains but it was so far out of the norm I didn't count it as a good measurement. The bullets also fluctuated by a lot as well. So far out of about 40 pull downs the
  19. What screw you talking about? The only screws I see are the adjustment screws. The top locks the adjustments and the side moves the sight side to side. Dolomite
  20. Ok. I have never seen a Saiga with the rail so I had no clue. Seemed really silly to keep it. Dolomite
  21. What is that wheel that was on the gas block in picture number five? Dolomite
  22. The KPup stock doesn't apply any force to the gas tube. It believe what was happening is when the rear clamshell was clamped down on the side rail it shifted the clamshell enough to move the top cover. Before clamping the action rocked in the clamshell half before removing the side rail, now it just lays in their flat. And when you were tightening down the screws before, the rear of the action would be pulled down vertically by the clamshell. This angled the rest of the gun up and kind of tweaked everything. There were several spots on the side rail that were making contact with the stock
