if its bouncing in your face your doing something wrong and no sling can help you lol and if its hitting your balls when running try holding on to it or moving it to the side. and I may be wrong but no call of duty game or any FPS game has ever even had a sling option in them so that point is invalid. I don't have one on my AK but have one on my AR no problems what so ever never hit a rock or hit the mud ( what kind of midget are you that your gun hits the mud while on a single point sling??) and my uncle is a retired army ranger and he loves them only rifle he don't have them on are bolt guns

I did same thing to my steel mag, I just used real weld =P used a 1/8 thick 316 stainless steel filler rod tacked it in and built it up a lil works great knocked it out on break at work and still had time for a smoke =) got 500 rounds and still holding up no jams/issues even though I got a BG now I still use it cuz I have it. but having done both I gotta say its really about the same amount of effort/skill/time involved for both.

I have a bunch of 1/4 20 set screws, was wondering if they might be to big? And everything I have read says drill all the way through, this seems odd to me so thought I'd ask

my buddy has a romanian ak but dont say WASR on it, he sent me some crappy pics not posting ill get better, just wondering if there are any other marks i should look for. it only takes single stack mags and he wants to find out if can convert it to double stack

might as well ask my question on the tail end of this one, I plan on welding my reciever But I'm gonna be using TIG and planed on using Stainless wire as its what I have. I'v welded mild with stainless before and had no problems but i'v also never welded a reciever before only plan on welding the old rivit holes and the BG. should be fine yea?
