  1. It looks like an attempt at making a short reset trigger. Its hard to tell from the pic, but I'm guessing its glued down. See if you can get hold of it with a pair of needle nosed pliers, you may be able to snap it loose, or you could try some heat and the pliers or maybe a cold chisel.
  2. It sure does look like he racks the slide against his chest or shoulder. I can't say I've seen that before.
  3. For insurance, you can also flatten the threads with a punch once the piston is screwed in all the way.
  4. Adjust the rear drum for elevation and bore sight it. That should get you pretty close at 25 yds.
  5. Wow, where have I been?

  6. That is the best use of that stock that I have seen, good thinking.
  7. Dude, don't get mad. I'll second Twinsens advice and even give some of my own. Move the trigger group forward, if you like it now, you will like it even more after you convert it. You can even leave it all dressed up, if thats how you like it, but it will be more functional.
  8. Definitely check that the safety is on, the SKS trigger group wont come out or go back in if the safety is off.
  9. Either that or there is a lady boy somewhere in Bangkok with a story to tell.
  10. I like the distressed finish, that handguard does look awful though, old wood would look much better. While "converted by a jeweler" is an odd detail to throw in as a selling point, a lot of the skills and tools do overlap with gun smithing. A good jeweler should make for a decent gunsmith and FWIW, a professional jeweler would likely have a sand blaster. I think that finish is intentional, not a failure. I still wouldn't do it to one of my guns though, to each his own I guess.
  11. No mods to the rifle... Hmmmmm, if I'm not mistaken that rules out HK, FAL, DPMS and M14, assuming of course that the mags aren't modded as well... sounds to me like our man has a trick or two up his sleeve. This is worth waiting for IMO.
  12. I'm probably just repeating info you've already found, but I took a stab at it anyway. Armory claims to have a three piece right now, but as usual you don't know whats going on there until you call them. http://www.globaltrades.com/ak_stocks.html DPH has Chinese grips that may be a decent match. I think I bought my Bulgarian set from them a while back, maybe they have a line on them and can help you out. http://dpharms.com/ak47-blonde-chinese-pis...grip-p-280.html I would wait for another Bulgarian grip to pop up, K-var usually gets them in from time to time. http://www.k-var.com
