  1. Received my parts today from the Oregon DOJ. No work done to them and I'm out over $200 but my gun works again. I'm stoked!
  2. Just received a call from a lady at the Oregon DOJ. My parts still exist, no work has been done but still great news. Should be receiving the parts along with restitution for payment. Thought I'd share, was amazed there weren't any other comments about this already. EDIT: HAHA, on my phone some of the latest posts hadn't shown up. So obviously others have commented.
  3. Sent mine February 2013, really excited about seeing this thread tonight. Fingers crossed! The S12 was my favorite until it became useless.
  4. Does anyone have a last known location or jurisdiction? Thanks.
  5. Quite frankly, I'd prefer an F U right now as opposed to this silence or this everyone will get their parts back but I'm broke mess.
  6. Been waiting since February 5th of last year, picked up another Saiga 12 this past week to hold me over until something happens :/
  7. I actually just installed the poly side folder on my 103. Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
  8. Any reason I can't do an AK104 from the stock 16" saiga?
  9. Finishing up an AK103 conversion next week and picking up a dimpled saiga this weekend in stock configuration except for bullet guide is installed and mag catch is filed for $425. What are some other interesting conversions that I can do? Preferably realistic to actual Russian weapons. Just needing some ideas.
  10. I'm in the middle of converting a dimpled Saiga x39 into an AK103. I'm already making plans for the next project. But my question is what is the best base rifle to start with for a AKS-74U Krinkov build? Thanks.
  11. If anybody comes across an AK100 folder that's available, let me know. I'm interested.
  12. Haven't run mine yet, but I'm doing 5 @ .078 with the shortened barrel.
  13. Not real sure what kind of forend that is but it looks like it has slots in the top that would work with a "mount-n-slot" type flashlight mount, and I highly suggest a Surefiry P2X Fury (EAG Model). The lights 500 lumens, surefire brand, for only ~$120. The mount will cost you ~$50. SUPERB Setup.
  14. COBRA, I can't update yet. I've got the ports done and the barrel shortened and all, but Pauly's got most of my parts that make it go BANG.
  15. They are definitely angled, camera is angled to show down the ports which makes them look straight as opposed to taking the shot from straight overhead. The 5th may have a little less angle than the original 4 tho.
  16. Just an update, but tonight I removed the gas block, drilled out the 4 ports to .078" and added a 5th port at .078" as well, and reinstalled everything. All the ports are visible through the hole in the gas block. Actually have room for a 6th port on the other side. Surprisingly, the pin removal, gas block removal, and reinstallation wasn't near as bad as I was expecting. Taking it tomorrow to have the barrel shortened, and muzzle brake attached. I'll update when I get it back.
  17. that's still expensive in my book haha, but worth it. kills me that people are buying them for crazy prices still including the promags when you can still buy them new for $125, which is also worth it if you don't have any currently.
  18. Never heard a horror story from having 4 @ .078". I'll also be surprised if it won't run anything and everything when completed, but we'll see.
  19. Will do. Here's the before, except for a few minor things like Krebs Ghost Ring sights and an extended mag release. Unfortunately can't take any now because it's stripped down to nothing but the receiver, barrel, and gas block. I'm getting a very reasonably price IMO on the gunsmithing, looking at about $80 which is a good bit cheaper than other places I checked and is by a more qualified gunsmith with quite a bit of Saiga experience.
  20. I lied. I took my gas block off and I have 4 ports at .070". My barrel will be 14.2" and muzzle brake 4". I'm gonna go ahead and drill out to .078". Also think I'm going to try out the TAC47 autoplug in place of the MD Arms that is on it. My gun runs anything and everything through stick mags currently but FTEs are common when I try the Winchester Universal with the MD Arms Drum. Honestly feel like it would run after the profile and polish but I want to go ahead and enlarge the ports and try the autoplug. My gun is one of the 2011 models with 4 ports and no side rail, etc.
