    If I recollect correctly...Lisa Marie Nowak, the former NASA astronaut became notorious when she was charged with assaulting Colleen Shipman in the parking lot at Orlando International Airport. Shipman, a captain in the U.S. Air Force, had become involved with Nowak's former astronaut lover. So yeah, just because they worked at NASA doesn't mean they are above the average person.

    I just line up an army of cupcakes in the entryway hall. Seems to work (until the dog finds them). But he seems to help keep intruders out too.

    Congrats! When my son was born I purchased a bottle of Irish whiskey which I presented to him on his 21st birthday. I recommended he hold on to it until he has a child. At that time he can buy his child a bottle to present when they attain legal drinking age and pop open his own to celebrate the birth. It sits at the bar collecting dust until the day it is to be opened.     If the NASCAR fan is the stereotypical hunter then yes, this is good for the NRA to open their eyes too to the fact that they are coming for the hunting guns as well, and not just the "evil black guns". I see it as a good move

    In PA they also suck the local tit - we have a percentage of our paychecks taxed for the school district in which we reside as well as a portion of our real estate taxes on the property goes towards it. This way both the land owner and the employed occupant (home owner or renter) contribute. But we have no say in how it is run.

    Full mags with tight new springs push very hard on the underside of the bolt with the first round. So much so it is possible that if you stored it that way in the gun for home defense the first round could become so badly deformed that you can't chamber it. Load your new mags and let them sit a while (possibly a month or longer) outside the gun to "relax" the spring pressure. Or, if you use them on a regular basis, remove 1 round just prior to going out shooting to relieve a little pressure for loading and cycling until the spring softens.     VP Joe Biden has been passing out advice on how to use a shotgun--the problem is, much of what he has advised is against the law.
