Well there are now 30rd 7.62X39 and 5.56 mags out there that fit an unconverted Saiga. I guess we are just screwed all the way around now. The 10rd 12ga mags are sure to throw the IZ-108/9 into the DD catagory as well. You guys had better call me and buy them while you can! I will be running an end of an Era sale all next month. Sorry, we just are not worried about it, and the Saigas are a MAJOR part of our business. But like I said, you can make it all go away very easily.

Well dude, the importer is actually rooting for us because they feel it will help sales. The ATF does not really seem to care anymore because the magazine ban is over and the existance of a US made mag that holds 20rds has nothing to do with the Importability of the gun. The assault weapons ban is gone, but it was in full swing in 1998. Now it is a moot point. Either way, this is happening. If you had $58,000 (enough to cover the pre-orders and our expenses) you could make this all stop and go away. If not.....

I just got word that there is a new .223 and 7.62 hi-cap mag for the Saiga. It is supposed to fit un-modified guns. Now before anyone asks about the legality of them in an unmodifed gun, I don't know or care. That is something for you to sort out based on federal law and you r local laws. But they are supposed to exist now. We have a .223 30rd mag on the way to evaluate. Retail on them is pretty high though for a 30rd .223 and 7.62. The 7.62 is around $35 and the .223 is around $49 with is going to be very hard to compete against the surplus stuff out there. At this point we do not even k

They are making the molds and other parts now. Time table still looks to be the same. As we get parts in we will post pics and updates, but it will still be a few weeks.

There is actually someone on the ground right now trying to just that very thing. If you have a group of investors that are ready to throw down a million dollars or so (that seems to be the magic number to get them to start talking serious) you should call me. Yeah, I have fixed that once or twice in the store and on my own guns. But it only does it on the 3" mags. Easier fix, don't shoot 3". Really no reason for me to anyway.

We had a night shoot last night and so we took out the 8" and 12" guns to see what they would do. It is about the only time we get to shoot anymore. So we take this mixed bag of rounds, a big box actually that we have accumulated over the years and tested just about everything we could we could put thru them. They both cycled everything we could put thru them from 2 3/4 light game loads to 3" mags. We did find out however a few things. 1- 3" mags kick like a bastard and give really bad trigger slap. Please dont take this as rude, but have you been living in a cave? In speaking with Atlanitic they have the same problem we do, we can not get enough of them! They are selling fast and furious. On the up side, they are ususally only about 5-10 days out if we run out.
