I bought mine the Sat before last from a local metro Atlanta dealer. I paid $269.95 + tax. Out the door was $286.15.

It's good to see that i'm not the only one from GA here. I live just north of Atlanta. I bought my .223 Saiga this past Sat, and ran 100 rounds through it Sunday. I can't wait to play some more. I normally shoot once a week or so. My wife says that I spend too much money on ammo, but I can say the same about her designer purses. Aside from the Saiga, I shoot a Glock19, 1891 Argentine Mauser 7.65 x 54, High Point 9mm Carbine, Walther PPK/S, Ruger MKIII and the other half shoots a Springfield XD-9.

Thanks for the answers. This is my first AK type and I'm still learning. I'm not quite sure what my plans are for it other than send alot of lead down range.

So if I'm reading right, I HAVE to convert it to use a 30 round mag?

Sorry for the rookie question, but is converting a Saiga converting it from a "sporter" back to a "military" style rifle?

I have some stupid rookie questions. I'm sorry if they have been brought up before, but I bought a Saiga .223 with the 16.3 barrel last Sat. It's my first AK variant. Some friends from another forum and I ran about 90 rounds through it Sunday and now i'm hooked. I have some questions though. 1) What's conversion? 2) What's the deal with US or foreign made parts and being legal? 3) Can I not use a compatible 30 rd mag without any modifications? 4) Who has the best deal on mags, both factory 10rd and 30?
