  1. Thanks guys! And yeah, it definitely feels good to take that step.
  2. I just had to share. Finally was able to make it to a class and it went very well. Now I just have to wait......
  3. Alright, done and done. Will be sending the money order today! Thanks for the info guys
  4. yeah it's NIB. Hmm, ok, I'll check around and see if I can find anything more than what I've already found.
  5. So, I've had a Saiga 7.62x39 for awhile now and love it. Got a new red dot for it recently and am going to sight it in tomorrow morning. But, as I was shopping around, I found a Saiga 12 (have always wanted one) for $590 shipped. I'm thinking it's a pretty good deal, it's the 19" threaded barrel, but I'll leave it to you guys, did I find a good one? I've already started communication with the buyer...
  6. I've got the combination folder, collapsible. works well enough for me, I can adjust the stock length for sitting/standing and the folding works for compactness. Competition, in my opinion, is better served by the collapsible. But in all reality it's whatever you are most comfortable with, cause when you're comfortable, you'll shoot better than if you're shooting with something that is uncomfortable but everyone says is a "must" have for competition.
  7. Dude, awesome timing. No, I hadn't ordered it yet but was about to when I checked the forum again. Thanks for the link, that is the just the price range I was looking for. I owe you one ordered and on the way
  8. Thanks for the link! that's probably the one I'll go with
  9. Alright, thanks guys I'll definitely take a look at some of those
  10. what red dot is that.. i plan to mount my optics on a ultimak gas tube so that i can still use the iron sights.. NCStar 1x42mm red dot I know, not the best out there, but good for what I'm doing
  11. So, I was looking around and wondering what Side Mount to get. I'd rather not spend over about $40 unless I have to. So, here's what I've found, if you guys have any suggestions, I'd like to here them to. I've already checked out Cheaper Than Dirt, and I don't think I would go with that one based on the reviews of it, unless someone has bought it and has a good review of it. http://www.tickbitesupply.com/ak.html https://www.gilbertsguns.com/AK+47+Accessor...+Scope+Mount+AK http://www.sksman.com/acces/mounts4.php Leapers 3rd Gen AK side mount with double rails http://www.cd
  12. What was it, something like 85 million from Moveon.org? And that's just the proverbial tip...
  13. I'm the best builder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But not really, not even close. I've built my own and that's good enough for me. I think everyone should try and build they're own, it's a great experience and at the end you have a rifle that you converted yourself. On the other hand, I can understand wanting to get one done by a proffesional so as not to screw anything up.
  14. Get the Saiga. Shoots better and more accurately. It's a lot of fun, and a little frustration, to build and convert yourself. And they're just going to go up in price.
  15. Man, I can't get away with anything. Ever. Don't have enough guns to hide new ones in the old ones (One rifle, one shotgun, one pistol) and the apartment is way too small for new firearms to just "find" their way into some dark corner. Also, my wife is like a hawk when it comes to watching the bank account. Eh, maybe someday when I'm not a poor student anymore I'll be able to pull off a few shenanigans.
  16. Actually, the same thing happened to me, I took it out, I think I got lucky and there was a little bit sticking out that I could grab with pliers, I then gave up on the tap and JB Welded it in. Works great for me!
