  1. They consider a thumbhole stock a pistol grip here too, just as in CALI and what pisses me off even more, is that when you ask the DPS of CT for a definition of the thumbhole stock they don't answer it directly. Are you sure it's illegal to use a thumbhole? Where did you see that? I have asked them before about that and they said it was considered a pistol grip.
  2. I have a name and phone #, but I could kick myself. I forgot to click the 'save email sent' button on yahoo when I sent it. I will email and thank him and ask him to forward me my original email if he has it, or specify that the Monsterman grip would not violate.. blablablabla.. Damn yahoo email pos software not automatically saving sent emails.
  3. +1 billion. If everything goes right, I'll be in SC by the end of the year. Far too many reasons to list, but lax gun laws is the icing on the cake. (BTW, Ithaca is full of dirty hippies!!!! Although they do (or used to) have one the best pizza places I ever ate at, in the Commons.) Haha. Yeah, he said it's like a big ass coffee house up there. I was going to ride a bus up there and hang out for a couple of days while I was visiting the city, but he told me I'd be miserable, so I just stayed in Brooklyn and drank at the Polish bar. It is like a coffee house. Another
  4. The only problem is that switching mags using a drum would be a major PITA using the RADD Lock. I thought about it .. trust me. Here is the current CT statues regarding Shotguns : © A semiautomatic shotgun that has at least two of the following: (i) A folding or telescoping stock; (ii) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; (iii) A fixed magazine capacity in excess of five rounds; and (iv) An ability to accept a detachable magazine; or
  5. Feel free to. I am. That's why I started this rant. It feels awkward shooting it with a 20rnd drum and without a PG.
  6. They consider a thumbhole stock a pistol grip here too, just as in CALI and what pisses me off even more, is that when you ask the DPS of CT for a definition of the thumbhole stock they don't answer it directly. I'm seriously thinking of trying one of those CA legal grips (Monsterman grips).
  7. I just wanted to vent about the fact that in CT we can't convert our shotguns because CT has kept the AWB after it expired. So even though I wanted to own the Evilest rifle I could think of : A saiga 12ga with 20rnd drums. I can't do the pistol grip conversion on it. BOLLOX!!!
  8. The 45GAP is used by a lot of Police departments in the country. The main reason : Small G19 frame, big 45cal performance. It's got the recoil of a +P+ 9mm, and actually has slightly higher pressure than 45acp. With 230gr ammo it's the same performance out of a small framed gun. With 185/200gr it is minimally hotter. For some odd reason it is also a sickly accurate round/gun combo. I've had one for almost 2 years, and can not find a gun I can point and shoot more accurately. ( and I've been looking). I sold my G 21SF after shooting my buddies G38 and replaced it with the G38 right away. A
  9. Hey! I just picked mine up 2 weeks ago too. After replacing the extractor spring (which was weak from factory) it's been 100% reliable and a great shooter. For just a hair over $400 I can't beat it. And I love the grips.
  10. No. 2 worked like a charm. Thanks! pics.. pics pics... ;-).. pics!!!!
  11. I broke mine in with SLUGS on the Magnum/SLUG setting for 60 rounds HARD. After that on the soft gas setting, I can cycle anything without issues, including 7 1/2oz target loads.
  12. Good to know your personal ethics are in line with the current administration. If it's made using the same standard Chinese metal as their other clone rails and not hardened, after you tighten a screw once too many times, it WILL break, crack or cross-thread. I'd rather wait for a comparable US Made one. IF they harden it after machining, it should last a long time of wear and tear. I've used the UTG cheapo-railed handguards on my AR a few years back and it was actually very good quality hardened aluminum. Not pot metal like at all.
  13. I did search but it got me 90% threads that were not related to what I need. I'm looking for info from actual people who have them.
  14. I'm finally getting around to modifying my Saiga 12ga as I intended since buying here last year. I've already added the Surefire Tr-Rail handguard, but am just about to order a MD 20rnd Drum and am comtemplating a compensator/brake. I get quite a muzzle rise when rapidfiring my 10rnd mag, so I was wondering if the Tromix Shark brake would tame it enough to matter. At $85 for the brake I thought I'd ask the hive mind. ;-)
  15. Actually looks nice. I might get one if the price is right.
  16. Cool, I have always wanted a naked Nazi chick with big boobs delivered to me in a drum! Like minded people gather in the same places, eh? Great to hear, can't wait to hear some reviews and maybe pick one up on the next batch of orders.
  17. Anyone know the latest Non-Bull info on teh 20rnd drums? I've recently found some love for my Saiga12 shottie and wouldn't mind one of them if they actually existed and were reliable. I've read through a bunch of treads that seem to always end up with useless banter. Black and white : Any 20roudn drums that are for sale and are not vaporware currently?
  18. What would be the minimum length that the gas system would cycle correctly? Maybe I can have the barrel cut to like 17" or 16" and slip on the standoff muzzle device pictured slightly lower. This way the barrel is longer and still the overall length is 18-18.1" with the perm attached device.
  19. Crap. Might not be worth all the hassle. Thanks.
  20. I am thinking of having my 19" barrel cut down and permanently attach a muzzle device like the one I'm showing. I've seen these on the pump action shotties and looks pretty menacing. If I have the gunsmith cut the barrel to 14.6" and permanently attach this 3.5" piece to get the 18.1" overall barrel length, will I be running into reliability issues or not enough gas issues?
  21. Has anyone tried the Trijicon Reflex sights? I had one on my A2 AR15 and it seemed more solid than ANY other sight I've ever had (eotech/aimpoint, ATN), and seems to be as solid as the KOBRA red dots (I have one of these too on my AK bullpup), but the reflex sight is quite smaller
