  1. That's pretty much what I was thinking. I was 12 or 13 when I got my first 12 gauge.
  2. ** Cross-Posted ** I have a spare bolt carrier for a Saiga or Arsenal SGL 7.62x39 that I was going to use for a project but never got around to it. This came off of a brand new Arsenal SGL (Saiga) rifle. It has only seen a few rounds. The number on it is 662. Excellent / like new condition. It will also work in a Saiga 5.45 and .223/5.56 K-Var had the same bolt carrier listed for $95.00 plus shipping. I'm asking $70.00 (OBO) shipped. Paypal only. The only trades I will consider are: - 7.62x25 Tokarev ammo - Hex receiver Mosin Nagant rifle in good con
  3. Looks almost as nice as the steel mag in the drawing. Good stuff.
  4. Agreed. Any standard ACE folding mechanism I have used on my own Saiga 12 or on friends' has folded under recoil even when rapid firing Federal bulk after it has been installed and used for a short period of time. The only way to avoid them folding up under recoil is to set them up to fold to the right, as the force of the recoil going into your shoulder pushes the folding mechanism in the opposite direction to keep it locked up tight.
  5. Yeah, that's Ray's design, if I'm not mistaken. Edit to add: 10 minute video with no live fire demonstration? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABwPJ2UwiWw

  7. Yeah, this is for rifles. My Saiga 12 uses the Saiga 12 front latch. It's made a little different.
  8. Horrible customer service. They could at least come out of pocket a whole 2 dollars for shipping to send you the new unit. Email Tapco about a defective product. They don't even ask you to send your item back. They ask for your address and you have the product a few days later.
  9. There's this one... it's a little beefier than the Tapco and it isn't too expensive: http://store.carolin...dsh-rail/Detail I had it on my 7.62x39 for a while with no problems or complaints. I taped off the rails and painted the rest of it black to match my 7.62x39 perfectly. I just ended up switching to wood, in the end.

^This. Get rid of that bolt-on pistol grip stock and do a proper conversion. It will handle and look much better.
  11. Or, you could just fabricate something like this from a cheap section of rail to use with the Arsenal handguard retainer, for a cleaner, more factory look: (stole pics from another forum) Cut rail to desired length, countersink holes for screws:
  12. That's essentially what a recoil buffer is. You can also cut a recoil buffer in half or shave material from it to make it thinner, if it affects cycling.
  13. He's producing straight up gangsta rap. Chaos subwoofers and amps coming soon. Edit to add: PS- The Tascam is pretty nice for home recording. My buddy used to have a similar setup in his basement with a custom booth. Good stuff.
  14. My SBS was cut down to 12.5" without shortening the gas system. The only gas work involved was adding 1 additional port and opening the 3 factory ports. Cycles everything. I have also reprofiled and polished the bolt, carrier and hammer to reduce friction.
  15. I knew they were made by CP, but I also have been reading that the glossy CP mags are junk and to stick with the matte finish mags. Thanks for the info.
  16. Go here and set your notification options: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications
  17. Looking for a couple of 7.62x39 AR magazines. Would like AR-Stoner mags if anyone has a couple to get rid of. Not interested in the glossy C-Products mags. Edit: Noob mistake. Posted in WTS instead of WTB. Mods please move.
  18. The 15 round Korean mags work great and can be found as cheap as $3.99 each when on sale at places like CDNN. I have around 10 of them plus factory mags. The 33 round Korean mags have all performed flawlessly in my G19 as well. All I carry are factory mags, though. You wouldn't happen to have any 7.62x39 AR mags would ya?
  19. I'll buy the Korean 15rd mag for 5 bucks shipped if you decide to sell it.
  20. Have ordered AK-Builder with no problems. They are located about 30 minutes from me. You can build as many as you'd like for personal use. However, you cannot build them for the purpose of sale. If you decide to sell one that you built later on, you can as long as it's serialized, you just can't build any for the sole purpose of selling them without a license.
