  1. I was going to start my own thread on this but to avoid redundancy I'll just add my 2 cents here seeing as we are having the same issue. Today was the FIRST day I EVER shot my new Saiga. I went with 6 other people to an outdoor golf-course style range to shoot clays. We each shot about 110 rounds a piece. I used the AGP 10 round mags purchased through the link on this page for about 90 of my 110 shots. I have to say these mags (or my gun) are complete pieces of trash. Once I got to about the 20th round or so out of each mag they wouldn't cycle more than about 4 rounds at a time without j
  2. The 2 AGP 10 rounders I ordered last week should be to my door today or tomorrow. I wish I had read more about them prior to ordering. As much as I like the new Saiga, I'm apprehensive about these mags. It sounds like these AGP mags should come with a warning that says "MAY NOT WORK" Sort of goes against the whole point of using a gun. Hey Mr. Grizzly Bear or Mr. Meth Addict Assailant, if my gun doesn't feed you just hold on a second until I can get it to chamber a round.
  3. I've got an idea that would make the Saiga the hottest thing in scatter guns. Get one in a movie. More specifically get some badass Tromix model in some movies. Seems like directors who are big on picking the right cars, picking the right music, and picking the right look for their heros would love to have a short barrel saiga if they knew the gun existed. Maybe Tromix could mail a few to Hollywood during pre-production of The Punisher II. Just think what Dirty Harry did for the .44 mag.
  4. My cop friend now carries some junk called poly shot which is supposed to perform well on human flesh but not go through barriers to injure bystanders. Damn bystanders. Buckshot loads will go through walls and maybe injure johnny and janie in there beds. #2 and #3 has plenty of pellets and less mass to pass through barriers. At hallway distances I wouldn't want to get shot with anything out of a shotgun. I've always wondered what 7.5 would do to flesh at point blank range but that's obviously too small for real world. 5. I'm new to the forum and I've owned my S-12 for all of 6 days now. For what reasons does the gun need to be 19'' barrel with the manual BHO? I've tried to do as much reading as possible before asking noob questions, but there's some junk I feel like I'm missing. I still haven't read how the hell you guys are owning these 8 and 10 inch barreled shotguns without violating w.o.m.d. laws. BTW I'm not new to guns or anything, but these Perestroika 12 gauges are a different breed.
  6. Actually grew up in Washington, then Wilson, then Greenville, Wilson again and I bounce between Greenville and Wake County.
  7. My friend's dad has a small farm near there in Warrenton/Macon, NC. It's great terrain for competition shotgunning depending on the distance. Just hilly enough to be challenging if your in the right spot.
  8. A friend told me today that there is an outdoor range in Washington, NC. I don't have anywhere to just go and shoot my new Saiga without bothering somebody I know (or being bothered by them), so if anybody knows of this place I'd like to hear about it. I was told it's set up like a golf course where you walk from station to station shooting clays.
  9. Cool, sounds like we have another member who's local to me on board. I was at that show with at least three other members here, two with me, all carrying Saigas. Welcome and congrats on your purchase. I was at the show both Saturday and Sunday. I was the white guy with the Harley Davidson hat on.
  10. Howdy, first post here. I also purchased my new Saiga-12 at a gun show yesterday. It was the Dixie Show in Raleigh, NC. Same for you FLYER? I've been wanting one of these for years and bought almost at first sight. I'm planning on doing some work to mine, but I want to keep the flat black look and maintain my long barrel for clays, sporting, velocity, etc. Good to be here.
