  1. My grandmother would tell us stories about how her grandmother's grand parents lived through that event. That it was an entire year of cold and darkness.
  2. Thank you all! He delivered his valedictorian speech last night without a hitch. It was a good delivery, but not met with great applause. He basically told his classmates to work hard, finish what you start, don't let set-backs sink your ship, ask for help if you need it, don't just think the right thing but actually do it, and don't lie because the truth eventually comes out and there will be consequences for the lies. It probably went over the heads of more than a few kids, but many seemed genuinely moved by what he said. I know his teachers were proud of what he said.
  3. Well guys, for the sake of privacy I haven't revealed this, but tomorrow my oldest son will be graduating from his high school as valedictorian of his class. Number 1 out of 409. His plans are to attend college at a smaller school here in Texas on an ROTC scholarship and major in chemical engineering, then God willing, enroll and complete pharmacy school. Afterwards, he plans on serving in the US Army as a pharmacist for the minimum ten year requirement. My wife and I are super proud of him. The last four years passed like a flash, and considering all the time he dedicated to athletics, w
  4. The “Lawful Purpose and Self-Defense Act,” has been entered as H.R. 2620. Look it up. Could clean up the last 20 years of anti 2nd amendment acts.
  5. Not sure what to exchange. I just go to sleep now. She talks as if she is at work. Technical stuff mostly. No night terrors or things like that.
  6. As a guy, purchasing panties, a bra, and some fishnets might get a bit of a glance.
  7. Italian 12 gauge auto loader, 45 long slide with laser sight, and an Uzi 9 meela meetah might get some attention as well.
  8. Mine doesn't snore, she freaking talks all night!!!! When we first got married I would stay up all night because she would be "at work" in her dreams. Non-stop full length conversations. Now, I don't care. I just go to sleep.
  9. What about the JTS12 academy sells? Anyone know anything about those? I took a look at one the other day, but the counter guys wouldn't let me look under the hood.
  10. Agree on the roles part. My situation is a little different though. My wife has some serious medical issues that effect her memory from time. Sometimes I do things, tell her, but it simply doesn't register. Then later on she's all upset with me and claims I never told her ( I will admit this happens with guns). The incident the other day was not one of them. That was her just throwing a shit fit and directing it at someone. I guess I was the quickest person to speed dial.
  11. Wife calls me at work to blame me for something she lost at her work. Freaking amazing. After 20 years, this shit never changes. Ok..rant done.
  12. I hear you evo. Over the weekend, I decided to take her to the range to try her out with the peep sight. Wow, talk about dead on. Accuracy was outstanding. Couple that with the low impulse of the 5.45 made shooting that baby fun. I need to get me another TWS dust cover for my next 7.62 conversion.
  13. It's a 16 inch. Years ago I converted it right after purchase and threaded the barrel. Afterwards noticed that it shot extremely to one side and attributed it to the brake since the factory marks on the front sight post showed it was zeroed right at center. Guess the Russians lied on that test day! Now with the TWS railed cover on its clear as day how the fsb does not line up with the front trunnion or gas block. When you look through the peep sight, you can see the front sight post lining up with the right side of the rear sight leaf mounting point that's easily seen now. I'll try the rub
  14. After installing a tws dust cover with rear peep sight it's super obvious I've got a canted fsb on my saiga 5.45. Unlike the older Saigas with pins, this fsb has the cute dimples. How would you guys suggest correcting this?
  15. My original AK ownership plans always were one for every family member. But then I helped out one friend who needed money and got a few more....then I found a few in the rough in estate sales.....then someone else needed some cash....and so on, and so fourth.
  16. Oh I don't know........let's say theoretically......maybe 14.
