CnRnut 3
I had a "woody" for a few years and it was time for a change. Took @ 2 hours to do. Made my own mag floorplate for the parts count. Left the stock hammer in her and a G-2 trigger and disconnector. Before: After: Floorplate: Thanks for all the info you guys shared. Looking for my next Saiga now. CnRnut

Cobra 76 two 2,677
Looks good man! Just out of curiousity, why didn't you use the G2 hammer and have an additional US part without having to make floorplates?
doug01 3
I would say he did it cause that way you know it will work and won't have to grind it down and if using a BHO the sides, where the pin goes through, are the right length from the get go. My bolt kept wanting to hang on the hammer cause it wasn't ground right to match the factory. Finally said scrwew it and went with original. I did the same thing. CnRnut 3
I put a G-2 hammer in at first, the fit to the bolt was not to my liking. I already had an extra g-2 trigger and disconnetor. Would rather use my extra parts, then bust open another full G-2 kit. Didn't want to start reshaping the hammer either. Took @ 30 min. to fab the first floorplate, took 20 min. to make the next pair of them. When I get around to coating them with Alumahide II you will never know the difference.
