Liquifly 0
I received my Mosins last night and I have to say I am tickeled pinkk or is it Red:) I got the laminated ones and they look almost brand new. Going out today if the weather gets above 30.... Thanks for the tip...my nephew is going to flip!!
Liquifly 0
Put 40 rounds through it today of the silver tip stuff. I have to say, after all the flack these rifles get, I was pretty impressed. It was a few inches left on a 6" able at 100 yards. Action worked fine...trigger a little funny but not to shabby for $90 and 880 rounds at 10 cents a piece..
G O B 3,516
My M-38 Mosin is one of my favorite shooters. Love those fireballs-and it is accurate too, for $79 it just dosen't get better!

Shoot with the bayonet out (I'm going off an assumption that yours is an M-44) and your groups should come back in to zero (at least closer)

It's really nice and shoots pretty darn good groups. I shot the M44 from 100 yards with this ammo way better than my AR-10 with some fine Indian 308 today. Man was that awful $80 rifle with 10cent ammo beat a $1200 gun with 13 cent ammo:)

Liquifly 0
Oh baby...got the sweet NcStar scout scope set-up from e-bay installed last night. I'll be shooting eyes out with this thing:)

Action worked fine...trigger a little funny but not to shabby for $90 and 880 rounds at 10 cents a piece.. If you fire it w/ the bayonet extended it will probably change the POI to the center of the target. I've read several places that it is an issue.
G O B 3,516
All Nagants are sighted with the bayonet on, except M38 witch does not have provision for a bayonnet.
Liquifly 0
I stuck the bayonet out and did not see a difference. The scope is on...I have to get some pics up. Man this rifle is a blast. Young nephew had no issues with the recoil with a homemade butt pad.
Liquifly 0
Pics finally...sorry they are parts and not the whole...but I want you to be able to see the goods.
scoutjoe 276
Is that one of those scope mounts that replaces the factory rear sight?
Liquifly 0
Is that one of those scope mounts that replaces the factory rear sight? Yes I got the entire package from e-bay for around $50. The scope is an Nc Star 2.5 x 30...have to stay cheap...can't exceed the cost of the rifle. It's not bad though. Eye relief is pretty broad and easy to sight. You just drive out the pin and slide the leaf out...set the mount in with a screw...three set screws press against the barrel to secure the mount. I roughed it in and then disassembled and put red loc tite on everything. We'll see how it stay the next time out.
scoutjoe 276
See I'd be afraid of that mount letting go of that scope somewhere in mid-recoil of those cannons
Liquifly 0
Recoil really isn't much with these.
