Mudsock 0
I'm going to be getting a POSP. I have a 16" converted .308 and debating on the 4x24 or the 6x42. Most of my shooting is out to 100yrds but haven't tried the .308 out to 200 yet (still in the modification stage e.g. possible muzzle break). I was just thinking that the carbine length rifle would work better with the 4x42. Anyone have any pics? What are your thoughts?
O.S.O.K. 0
IMHO the 4x is plenty out to 500 yards. Save your money for ammo
micah360 6
I can't comment on either of those, but I have an 8x42 and I love it.
shaneman153a 39
I'd say go with the 4 if you're only out to 200 meters. I've got a 6 and just the size of the thing is massive. It would be awefully bulky on a carbine.
Mudsock 0
Thanks, I will be going with the 4x. I'll do a 6x or 8x if I get a 21".

Prob. too late now but...I have the 4x POSP (via Greatmoose) on my RPK converted 16". It's a perfect fit with plenty of range.
sundog 1
I'm going with the 4X too. This is cheapest I've found. http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/posp4x24v.html
Mudsock 0
I won one on ebay from eastwave and saved $3 bucks. Whoohoo. Anyway, thanks for all the input.
texlurch 0
I have a 6X on my 21"; works great. I have a a 4X on a couple guns, and it is ok for 200 or so, but not great. Guess it depends on your eyes. Length is about the same, unless you extend the sun shade on the front.
