kfb2b 0
I am going to convert my 223 Saiga like so many others here, but I want to keep the forend - how is that going to affect my 922 parts count? I am going to use a TAPCO FCG, and USA made butt and PG, but can I do it legally and keep the stock forend???
dinzag 31
Yeah, with a PG you only need 5 parts...
MD_Willington 11
Check out the conversion here: http://www.redstick-firearms.com/firearms2/firearms.html RS-PG keeps the for-end
Bad Bob 0
RS-PG keeps the for-end I kept my stock Saiga fore end (I kind of like it ;>), even with a threaded muzzle - you might be able to substitute US-made magazine parts, if you need them for your compliance 'count down'... ;>)
BattleRifleG3 16
You can thread the muzzle all you like if the rifle is US compliant, just make sure your muzzle attachment is US made or that you put a US piston in there to offset it while keeping the stock handguard. My Saiga X39 has the factory handguard, K-var buttstock, SAW grip, and Polish synth mag that all match in texture. It's a really neat combination.
MD_Willington 11
Well if you pop in the G2 that gives you 3 BATFE Browny points The pistol grip gives you 1 BATFE Browny point Add a NATO length US made Butt stock gives you 1 BATFE Browny point add the bullet guide, sorry no BATFE Browny points Add 1 Pro-Mag plastic mag that gives you 3 BATFE Browny points That's 8 BATFE Browny points... Keep the forend, that's one plan of mine... The other involves the Galil adaptor with M16 mags and a cheezy home made stock, but hey, it will be made in the USA... even if a foreigner made it.. LOL Edited April 3, 2007 by MD_Willington
Bad Bob 0
Add 1 Pro-Mag plastic mag that gives you 3 BATFE Browny points Three points is great - but do the 'Pro-Mag' mags actually function 100% reliably?

I'm thinking I'm gonna see if they do... they appear to be knockoffs of the Bulgarians.
