355 0
Ok, I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, I'm new here and haven't figured out where everything is yet, but have a easy question for you. Does anyone make a "legal" stock w/a thumbhole type stock, like say a draganov that does not require moving the trigger on the Saiga? I've got a little 7.62X39 version, son has a .308, both of us would like that type of stock. Thanks in advance.
Siagalova 0
I personally have not seen one, and am going to go out on a limb and say no. saiga is the only kalishnokov where the trigger is set to the back, so unless saiga or someone producing for saiga, is making them - they probably aren't out there. moving the trigger is VERY easy, AND (especially for .308) the trigger action improves 100%. you might want to consider, IMHO! happy shootin'! 355 0
Are there links to instructions on how to move the trigger group?
emr454 1
Check out this site, it is the one that everyone else has probably used. There are lots of pics that come in handy when doing the conversion. http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/ Good luck.
F4D 0
355.....These thumb hole stocks are not into production yet but I'm working on it I also have a pistol grip style and a tactical competition stock
Siagalova 0
thunbhole stocks are considered ONE peice so you wouldn't have to do anything! so there you go! moving the trigger group on the .308 drastically improves the trigger pull - so they all say. SaigaShooter 0
hey F4D, do you have a pic of the pistol grip stock?

LeadMonkey 0
The stocks look great. When are they comming out and what price range are we looking at?
F4D 0
Hopefuly they will be on the market about mid December of this year. They will be injected moulded so you can apply the finish of your choosing. I'm shooting for a cost of 49.95 and lower if The mfg keeps costs down. I can hand craft them from wood.....Birch etc, but the cost goes way up and it's hard to justify them on a 200.00 rifle. The cheek rest is removable. glennb 0
jon elia, have you removed all three screws on the buttstock? One at the back of the trigger guard, two on the top. I don't mean to imply you don't know what you are doing, but the one under the top cover can be overlooked (AMHIK).
jon elia 0
yeah i got it off...i just couldnt make it move...since someone told me about driving a screwdriver down in there and it started to slide out i've had no more problems
