pyzik 597
To put AK handguards on my .223, can I use any gase tube? I am ordering dinzag's scew on retainer set, but I can get polymer handguards and a gastube from a guy near me, I think it's an egyptian Maadi gas tube. I know I have been around here long enough I should know these things.
taurussvt 0
I'm not sure if they'll work but I'm guessing that the easiest thing to do would be to measure the length of yours and have him measure the length of his.
nalioth 405
Yes, any gas tube will work (except for one from an AMD65).

Bad Bob 0
Yes, any gas tube will work (except for one from an AMD65). I would probably avoid Chicom on my Saiga - they seem to cut a slightly different angle in the steel where the aft end locks down, giving you a loose fitting gas tube assembly if you've got a European/Russian AK. Just my limited experience, FWIW, YMMV, etc., etc.
