coma8coma1 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 I will say that the 6.5 Grendel is based on the 6ppc which is derived from the .220 swift, which is in turn based on the .220 Russian which was derived from...wait for it.....yes the 7.62x39!! sorry to pick, but how can the .220 swift be based on the .220 russian, when the .220 swift predates it by several decades? Paladin 37 Posted January 10, 2008 Report Share Posted January 10, 2008 Both those rounds are good, but at this point the die is already cast. The 6.8spc & 6.5 Grendel are already available. Just a barrel and bolt change. And they both are being field tested in the sandbox as we speak. If, and it's a big IF, any wholesale change is made it will be one of the two currently being tested.
