Get you some Surefire mags and file the mag catch.

If they work w/o a bullet guide, hooray :)

If not, Dinzag is pretty quick with his service time.

Military AK mags will NOT work unless you have a bullet guide installed.

So wait, the surefire mags don't work without modification too?

You'll need to file the mag catch on the rifle, or the mag latch on the magazine.

wtf?

I'm not understanding how a magazine specifically made for the Saiga, calls for modification of the rifle or magazine.

Because it's NOT specifically made for the Saiga?

Are we discussing the new all polymer made-in-the-USA surefire (AKA master molder) magazines or the old welded up steel east german Surefire magazines?

I thought the polymer Surefires were made for the Saiga w/no mods needed (& USA). I know the Master Molder mags need some VERY SLIGHT shaving of the underside Rear Catch only on the mag.(& USA)

I use the MM's and there are no probs. ($10 - $13 depending where you get them)

Surefire's are way too expensive, like $40 ea.

??

The Surefire mags were made to fit in with no mods. The standard AK mags need the rework to fit in right.

As for the AKA Master molder, the Surefires are their own brand with their own tooling.
