Buck shott 0
Hey everyone I have been thinking about Mounting a Mossberg ghost ring site on my Saiga-12. I was thinking about putting one of the clamp on AK style front sites on it aswell. Has anyone ever mounted a sight on the reciever cover? I know the Valmet AK's have reciever cover sight and some of the old Norinco hunters did too. I really like this style of sight as I bought one of the Norinco 98(870 clone) and it has a copy of the ghost ring and its a really great site. what do you think Buck

uzitiger 193
What about using the peep sights from a Galil or Valmet rifle? They mount the rear sight to the receiver cover.

Integratedj 1
I'm pretty sure it will, They have alot of them mounted on converted saigas.
USMC_LB 4
I believe the Kreb top cover w/ sight is not just a pop on accessory. It has to be hard mounted by them or the cover will just rattle around and the sights will not be reliable. Now Krebs is already offering a Saiga 12 sight combo. The rear ghost ring sight mounts in the dovetail area on top ( the area where most AKs have the rear leaf-sights are mounted ). The front sight is a AK front sight style that slides over the barrel and tightens with a couple screws. I would be leary of any sight mounted on the top cover unless I sent it to Krebs and let him do it properly. LB
USP40 1
I have looked at Kreb web site but didn't see any Saiga12 front sight . I saw the rear M16 style sight but no price listed .I sent them e-mail but no reply at all??
Cesiumsponge 0
The front sight is still being prototyped or very near release. One member on this forum has tested an aluminum version and a steel is being made for production. It's unlikely they'll post the item for sale until its' been verified and tested to work. Thanks Cesiumsponge Do you know if the M16 style rear sight is still available and how much it is?
Cesiumsponge 0
No clue. I inquired about it today but I haven't gotten a response. I like the idea of a sight that is set further back. However, I don't know if it is compatible with the upcoming front sight unit. I inquired about both these and look forward to hearing a reply.
