chupacabrah 0
Hi, I'm working on my first conversion. I've got the rifle (7.62x39) all stripped down, trigger plate removed and everything. all i have to do now is cut the PG hole and wait for my parts to get here but my question is this: do i have to remove the trigger plate rivets? I have them ground flush with the receiver right now. is there any chance they would come loose while firing or something, or could i leave them there filling the holes? Jon I think there is a very good chance of them coming loose.
jhereg 0
I'm only on my first conversion, but it was easy to get the rivets out once they were ground flat. Put a punch on them & give it a sharp rap w/ a hammer. Mine came right out that way.

Just get them out... ya dont want to take the chance of them rattling around inside the rifle while shooting... might bind up something... or worse... I dunno what would really be "WORSE"... but if one gets in the chamber with a bullet... who knows...
captzeno 5
Back up the receiver with some sort of anvil to prevent deforming when you WHACK! Some of these can be a bear. But By all means remove them.
