vinny_land 0
Hi guys, Since i live in PRK, i recently acquired three 10 rnd magazines made for the AK. I have 2 Saiga mags but I was reading through Dinzagarms and noticed that on one of the instructions for modifying AK mags, the use of a screw can help instead of a bullet guide. My question is...where on earth do i install this? Can someone please provide pics? Do i put this on the magazine itself?

Object being to 'raise the rim' ( to act as a feed ramp ).
vinny_land 0
So i screw it horizontally straight, or do i need to have it in a certain position? Also what size of a screw? Do i simply drill and put in screw or drill and tap?

I'm sure there are threads here covering this ( but don't know any right off hand ).

vinny_land 0
Yeah same here, i've tried using the search engine but no luck. I've read the theory behind it but i want to see or read concrete evidence. Thanks Nalioth and MD Willington for your inquiries. -Vincent
22_Shooter 1,560
This thread might help you: Scroll down to -RotorDemon-'s post. I didn't read much further than that, but I'm sure there's more talk on the screw/guide method. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=4429&hl= Edited May 16, 2008 by 22_Shooter

IndyArms 10,186
yuppers... thats the post... It DOES work... Although I had some trouble with the screws coming loose and falling out... If you do that, and can hit it with a quick tack weld... you are in total business!
vinny_land 0
Can a simple tube of JB Weld or thread locker replace a tack weld? I dont have access to a welding machine thats why im asking?
