Dry Spray Graphite Lube brand.

Recommended Posts

My Wal Mart does not have dry graphite spray, can anyone suggest any other places and specific brands either at stores or online that I can find some for use in my 10 rd mags and MD20 drum?

My main concern is that I do not get one with a propellant that eats plastic.

Also, would it hurt to spray some up in the bolt area of the shotty?

You can get it at most auto parts stores. No need to stoop so low as to go to walmart

None of them in my area have it in spray cans.

I found some spray "graphited" lock fluid at a small local hardware store, but when I test sprayed it on a old keyboard, it stayed fairly wet even after "drying", so I am going to pass.

I guess I am going to order the stuff I linked to, and see if it works on on the old keyboard before spraying any of my mags ;)

I wouldn't use the graphite spray on anything, stick to the powder. the spray leaves a layer almost like paint and it gums up your action.

That's why I suggested the Catepillar(as in bulldozer) graphite.

It's dry in seconds and doesn't gum up.

I also use it inside magazines and on springs and followers.

This is what we use in our shop here at work:

Dry Graphite Lube (aerosol)

It's already on my AGP ten round mags and MD drum mag (neutral to most plastics). It will also refinish military M-16 mags with the parkerized/ graphite coatings back close to original issue finish. Grainger will USPS ship to your door.

I use molly anti=seeze on the spring in my MD-20 and on the blind plug threads (1/2 adjuster), as wellas on the rails and sliding contact points of the trigger group. Inside plastic mags I use silicine spray lube and wipe ALLMOST dry.

I gave up on graphite sprays because they clump and get gummy.
