If ever there was a good reason to act, now is the time. Let's hope and pray, believe that it is not to late. Biblical history does seem to suggest this. God sometimes judges sin by giving people over to the very things they desire and allowing the natural consequences to play out* Yes, this is a good and proper response. We can call upon the name of the Lord, who is rich in mercy and mighty to deliver His people. We can pray along with the psalmist that the designs of the wicked and the oppressors would be thwarted by the hand of God . We can pray that God would lift the evident blindness that has gripped our nation, and that He would grant widespread repentance. We can pray that only the most godly men and women would be elected to lead this nation, and that they would lead in righteousness. We can pray that such righteousness would again exalt our nation as we return to the Lord in humility and repentance. We can pray that, regardless of what happens on November 4, the people of God will manifest "the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Christ" in ever increasing measure. * Now all that needs to be done is that all who have chosen to believe, and understand that they have a God given authority to attack the dark spiritual roots of the problem, start speaking some things in response to the ungodly mess in Jesus name. 2 Corinthians 10:3,4-For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. getitat 609 Posted November 3, 2008 Report Share Posted November 3, 2008 Hello I will respond because it is clear that many fellow Americans, even so-called "educated" fellow Americans, can not recognize the obvious which is right in front of them. If we can't depend on the God-given intelligence and power to reason of our fellow Americans, it's obviously time to call for some Divine Intervention. May God save us from ourselves.....
