Saiga20InMyHome 0
How is everybody mounting flashlights onto their saigas? Pictures would be nice! (more of an excuse to show of your ladies, gentlemen!)
Cobra 76 two 2,677
OK don't laugh but I had this mag light layin around. Also had a scrap piece of elastic from altering my shell caddy to fit my folding stock. Got the wife to sew me a tube for the light and attached with velcro. Bam! - no cost light mount! Just took a little afro - engineering. Get it afro, velcro? Now you can laugh! Anyway it comes off just as quick and easy as it goes on. Free.

G O B 3,516
For the time being I put a streamlight scorpion on a weaver scope mount for the wife' .410. Workes GREAT! Puts the butt of the light where it is handy to operate, and the light illuminates the front sight if you care to use it. When the underfolder comes I will be doing the conversion and will have to put a piece of weaver rail on the dust cover. G O B
Saiga20InMyHome 0
Cobra~ that is an excellent idea! I never would have thought of it! How does it stand up to recoil, or have you not had a chance to shoot it yet? GOB~ I had a light with a rubber grip and butt switch in my scope mount for awhile...it wasn't bad, but i wasn't all that comfortable with it. Great minds think alike! Cobra 76 two 2,677
Oh yeah it doesn't budge. You can get velcro pretty tight. Just reach up with left hand and twist and its on. Have not fired it with the light burning though but my big maglight stays on even if dropped on cement so it should be fine.
Saiga20InMyHome 0
I had a maglight clamped onto the barrel at one time, and the mount would shake loose before the flashlight would ever turn off. The was murder on my barrel finish so I took it off, and plus it wasn't reliable enough to stay on for more than 2 or 3 magazines.
Integratedj 1
I bought a rail and screwed it onto the bottom, and then got a rail mounted front grip/light combo. IJ
Tomac 0
I use the TacStar Weapons Light (about $80). Clamps onto the bbl, I used electrical tape on the inside of the clamps to prevent marring & shifting due to recoil. So far it works fine, lasts a long time!... Gedi 0
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=148191 Here's something I use on all my shotguns and some of my varmit rifles with scope. It screws down well on the magazine or barrel. It's basically a 1 inch scope wing with two smaller rings that the flashlight and laser go in. And it comes with a switch or a pressure switch, whichever makes you grin.
KySoldier 2
251 lumens That's a good deal if it can take the recoil.
Gedi 0
251 lumens That's a good deal if it can take the recoil. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got an 870 express with 18 inch barrel and extended magazine tube. Its tightened down on the tube no problems, and have sent several slugs and 00 through it without fail. The laser is dead accurate on slugs at 25 yards, and hasn't shifted that I am aware of. I've taken it out and done some night shooting with it. Its kinda like the slug follows the laser, and the shot follows the spread of the flashlight. Great bargain at the price as well as a great little addon to ascope for varmit hunting at night.
