mstranglr 9
So i'm in the market for a good...no scratch that, GREAT tactical poly gun. 9mm is what i prefer. SO i have been directed to Springfield's XDM 9mm, it holds 19+1 and has a match barrel from the factory. But its made in Croatia? wtf? i thought all springfield's were american? so i did some research and found the history of the ordeal about the deal with Croatian makers blah blah blah. I have never handled a XD or XDM before, are they reliable? The other guns i'm looking at right now are the Glock 17L and I heard from a friend who knows, Smith and Wesson have a long slide M&P 9mm on the way....what do you guys think? i need input, i got money burning a hole in my pocket They use a roll pin where other maker's use a solid pin and even if their pistol was the best in the world Croatia is a fascist state that glorifies their Nazi past. Croatia??? You mean Serbia, right? SOPMOD, I think you got your countries confused on that one. Croatia is very democratic and pro-American. Its easy to confuse all the factions, religions, borders, and races in the balkans. And by the way, I own lots of Saigas (currently facist state) and lots of K98 mausers (Nazis), and Glocks (former Nazis).

And by the way, I own lots of Saigas (currently facist state) and lots of K98 mausers (Nazis), and Glocks (former Nazis). He may very well have meant what he said. They did take sides with the Nazis during WWII. As far as currently being a fascist state and glorifying that part of their past, I don't know enough to even form an opinion. Germany seems to have convincingly turned the page on that period of history, but maybe SOPMOD knows something about today's Croatia that I don't. The smoke from the fighting with Serbia was still in the air when I got there, and the hatred spilling over from that war was about the only tangible political emotion I could pick up on during the month I was there. As far as roll pins vs solid... my SigSauer used a roll pin, too, and I didn't have any complaints about it's effect on performance. Is there really any measurable difference beyond cosmetics? I'll admit it did seem strange they used roll pins on a high-end gun like the Sig. But with something as affordable as the XD, it seems like a pretty logical part of the plan to keep the cost down. SJgunguy 5
XD vs Glock? I'll go with a Glock everyday of the week. I really like being able to service and replace any and all parts as I see fit. The aftermarket is endless. Being able to change calibers on the same frame makes the Glock a versatile weapon platform. I wish you could try the trigger on my G21,the take up is like pulling your finger through water and it brakes cleanly at 2 lbs. and the reset is just under 1/8". What do mags for an XD run? Glock mags are 20$ I paid a bit more for my mags back in 99 but I live in Cali. Try everything first, ask people at the ranges you frequent. I like having the +5's for my 21. With my 10mm top end and standard +5 i'm packin' 21 10mm HP. Thats my camping gun.

Vultite 57
well, i figured it out finally, i ordered actually 3 guns I'm in line for a M&P 9 pro, i got a M&P 9compact on the way and a kel tec PLR 16 on the way (for shits and giggles and whatnot) I went with M&P after reviewing everything and handling everything, i like the grip better, its thinner then the XDM's, the pro has a lighter trigger pull with fiber optic sights. I had to give my money to Smith, they had a good deal for me and I also give them business because its made in america by american workers.
