imarangemaster 315
Very cool. I kept the stock hand guard on mine too. It feels like FN FAL, CETME< or HK G3. I did seven 3/8" holes on each side. Works well.
armorshrike 1
Oh yea, the stock hand guard is much better than the GALIL imo.
imarangemaster 315
I had the Tapco Siaga Galil handguard on my 223. Burned my hand ONCE. I had the sling across my left shoulder and gun on my right side front, M60 gunner style. I reached down, but not far enough back to get the handguard. The barrel was VERY hot from repeated firing. Now I use factory handguards. Edited April 8, 2009 by imarangemaster
usmc_mwroseberry 0
Very nice setup. How do you like the HUD? Good luck, Merritt SGT USMC vet.

imarangemaster 315
Mine I put the Tapco G2 trigger group in, and it has smooth 2 lb pull with the factory mainspring!

For a second I thought I was missing something here... I confused the mainspring for the recoil spring. That until I googled it.

For a second I thought I was missing something here... I confused the mainspring for the recoil spring. That until I googled it. No biggy. I havn't shot any rounds with it yet, but it did dramaticly reduce my trigger pull. Might be a bit too light for a shotgun(my application) IMHO, But as greg has been telling me i can just bend it up a little to increase it some. I'll give a better review once i get a chance to blow a few hundred rounds out with it and have a real opinion(thats right don't listen to a thing i'm saying right now). The only possible neg I can think of on the reduced spring, it that the trigger might not always reset... But so far mine works like a charm.
paprotective 362
CFowler13.. How difficult was putting the FLASH HIDER on?? Does it just screw on?? Are there threads already on the rifle?? Waiting on my new rifle (7.62x39) and trying to get a part list together and difficulty level...
